Writing Goal for the Day?

Oh, geez. I hope it's not too serious. And yes, there's likely a good plot bunny there. Have fun with it. ;)

I could crochet you a Cthulu if it'd help. :D

@ Red - Give LC hell for being, well, you know. Good God, bless your little sweet self, you know more than anybody!

@ LC - There are no words.

@ PL - Can you crochet a "sock puppet" *wink* with horns and send it to LC?

That would be awesome! You have to autograph it for me though. Maybe embroider your name on it.

LOL Embroidery (aside from cross-stitch) is definitely not my strong suit. I'll see what I can do about a pattern. ;)

I must say, my son was impressed. He's been telling me all day how he loves his totoro, and how I make the best totoros (like he's seen anyone else make them), and he can't believe I did it in two days. Hahaha.

Syd -- I actually did, some years ago, crochet a willy warmer. however, the pattern was difficult to follow and by the time I got it done, we couldn't figure out how one would wear it. But yes -- I'm sure I could do that. Just a matter of whether I should do that for someone who's not my hub. ;)

And of course if you talk people's ears off about others engaging in these art forms, maybe they won't realize that you're actually not doing anything yourself. ;)

Maybe, and maybe they wonder howcome you give a shit. Your attention is kinda curiously obsessive.

I sure wish someone would crochet me a willy wonker.

Hoping to chomp through at least a third of the review for the next Shabbu e-novel.

Hub came back after a bit less than two hours. Sigh. but he's downstairs with the kids, I'm upstairs typing and hey, there might be two sex scenes in this chapter by the time I'm done...

Good news - we got home today with little trouble, and I've made significant headway on Ch 12. I try to keep my chapters in the neighborhood of 3 Lit pages, but this one is going to be somewhat longer; not sure by how much yet, since I'm not finished.

Bad news - The above fire - one of scores of fires across the state right now - is reported to have destroyed 300 homes so far and is still burning out of control. Say a little prayer.

Got a few more sentences of Ch 4 written, after avoiding work all day. Got an interruption tomorrow (close a deal to cover for an old friend), but then maybe I can add another few sentences.

Did get to copy edit a new DG Hear, MFG, story. I wish I knew how he does it, comes up with new plots and characters almost every other day. While a lot of it is formulaic, a lot of it is real invention. I'd settle for formula, if I could find one.

Syd, I know Texas is hurting. People have died in the Bastrop County wildfires and around Corsicana, Lee has brought wind but no rain, and the roads south from Austin are cut off. The fire fighting people are stretched beyond breaking point.

My younger daughter says they had some rain the other day in Houston, but not nearly enough.

So, after some wonderful comments from my editor, I feel like I can move on from a plot device that was getting me bogged down. Yay!

Must finish Exhibitions 3 before starting rehearsals....

Got a little done, and hope to get a little more done before bed. The Boy starts second grade tomorrow!

Finally! R&B5 is done. With two sex scenes, even!

Now, for bed. No sleeping in on weekdays anymore (not that I really did) -- school's back!

In fifteen minutes it will be an ambitious 6K. Yay for the first day of school!

The Boy is off to school, and soon I will go grocery shopping (in the rain, sigh) and then... I keep thinking of totoro crochet projects like... a purse with a little soot sprite change purse in side... ack.

Hammered out a first draft for a Ch 12 scene that I thought was going to give me problems. Turned out I just needed some sleep!

I love writing "tough broads". I never thought of myself as one, but there's gotta be a reason why they roll out so easily.

Sleep is vastly underrated. ;)

Tough broads are fun to write, whether you are one yourself, or not. But Syd, I'm sure you're one formidable dame.

Serenissima Syd, You may be tough, but like the old advertisement said, "So tough---but oh so gentle." (I think the ad was for shaving cream).

Serious note--I hear it's really bad northwest of Houston. Thoughts and prayers for the people in danger.

Goal: Finish a sex scene, which will finish a chapter.

I brought my computer to the wedding extravaganza I attended over the weekend, but we had way too much fun for me to even consider opening it. Now I'm paying the price; Mr. Past, who inspired the story, decided to visit in a not-so-pleasant dream last night. I need to finish this story, pronto.

Ooh! Ooh! The tangled yarn hair is such a nice touch! I'm ordering two. A blue one for everyday use, a black one for weddings and funerals.

Thanks for the link!

Ben, hate to break it to you, but the link is for the pattern, not the finished product. :(

That's okay, I'll get by. I'm going to Tom's Toys of Beverly Hills this weekend. I have an appointment to be fitted for a Koosh Ball.

Please don't tell me what a Koosh ball is, because I'm having too much fun with the mental image already.
