Women's Intuition

I guess I'm lucky that you weren't on the appointment panel.
Still, might get sent back to the kitchen if I'm not careful or become too emotional!

and dear Veritas

...I have family in places you do not want to know - or rather, you would not want them to know you represent service to this country and demean yourself with such puerile notions.

USAF (Lt. Col., Andrews, no disclosure)
Navy (I am not allowed to know)
Marines (Officer & 'Nam)
Army (Officer)
uncle (cannot say but keeps you safe)

I say this because my family serves with dignity - and treats the women in - and those not - their lives with at a minimum basic equality and respect.

Your unfortunate beliefs reflect on all men in uniform.
I was in an airport - St. Louis I believe - and there were a bunch of enlisted men flying out. I thanked a Marine for his service. I said 'once a Marine, always a Marine'.
Am I off base?

One could make that assessment, without any knowledge at all of the circumstances, of course...or one could surmise that an objective, rational person, might, could, and ought to learn from experience and draw conclusions, that shared, might enlighten others, with less and inferior experiences.

Yeah?

A good woman, like a good man, is an asset to all. Man may have logical and rational foresight based on his objective experiences; and woman may have intuitions based on her emotional assessments as well.

But then, you just enjoy name calling and character assassination and have no concern for the Thread topic, so, like, fuck off?

thanks

really? raise your game, people...

you sound like an idiot when you speak like Cro-Magnon - spawn.

No, I do not consider you 'enlightened'.

I do, however, consider you, indoctrinated; comfortable in the artificial social and political confines of the product of the industrial revolution that has given you a life of ease in the abundance of the free market.

I think you have not a clue as to the true 'intuition' of a woman who lives a natural life as a woman, and not a female in pants objectifying a masculine existence in a man's world.

...not that it matters....(Neverending Story_)

It has forever been the province of women of intelligence to listen, watch and wait, as their inferior physical status relegates them to the gallery of human events.

As such, their 'intuition', is merely the accumulation of knowledge, the assessment of possible alternatives, and a logical progression of future events.

No one ever thought twats were dumb; and we know they are devious.

Yes, they are more in touch with other people emotionally and hence perhaps a better reader of body language with the exception of that period of time when their emotion has hit the full tilt of love, then they simply see only that which they wish to see...

... and then the honeymoon ends...

holy shit - that was the funniest thing i've read all week!

in·tu·i·tionNoun/ˌint(y)o͞oˈiSHən/
1. The ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning.
2. A thing that one knows or considers likely from instinctive feeling rather than conscious reasoning.

There are many examples of intuition in both genders, although I prefer to acknowledge that is is 'learned' behavior, as opposed to 'instinctual', as humans have no instincts.

There are, of course, biological imperatives unique to each gender, that serve to facilitate an intuitive ability in those areas specific to the gender.

Thus, by definition, intuitions can exist, can be understood, and can be utilized within a lifestyle to enhance the existence of those in close contact.

Perhaps, since the query is directed at women's intuitions, someone might state, explain and clarify your special intuition?

thanks...

No.

The fact that you had three divorces and not just one means you aren't the kind of person to learn from his experiences. But perhaps after that third divorce you came to learn something?

Nope Three failed marriages later it still boils down to sex, food, and servitude.

when dealing with men in general they may seem so. a. i did it for sex or b. i did it for food.

Intuition isn't gender specific. Yet many women or more in touch with and open to intuition due to multiple factors.

Best nurse I ever had was a guy.
He made me feel like I was his sole priority the entire time I was in his care.

Actually, I agree with a lot of what Amicus said in this thread. Other threads? Not so much, but this one has some good points.

I think intuition is a learned behavior as well, though some people are predisposed to being better at such things. Such as a child who is naturally very calm, easy going, or even lazy. That kind of child would spend more time watching life, picking up on details that hyper active kids may miss easier since they have tiger blood and one speed - GO!

I think Amicus argues a good point as well, about the place of women and how it affects "women's intuition". In the past, he had it right, women were definitely more nurturing, caring, home makers, clothes makers. Did the cooking, cleaning, nursing. The men went out and worked, hunted for food, whatever. I think in the past women definitely could have been considered to have "women's intuition" more often. In the past women have been more submissive, quiet, in the background. Living that way would have given the women more time to observe, to collect the tiny tidbits of information needed to base "intuition" on.

A lot of women these days work too much, wear pant suits too often, refuse to cook, hire maids, and value money over heart. I'm not saying that goes for all women, and I'm not agreeing with Amicus in that I think women should be more like they were in the past. What I am saying is that I believe Amicus had the explanation of what women's intuition really is correct, and I am saying that women in the past were probably living lifestyles that were more condusive to teaching them to learn and utilize "women's intuition".

With regards to his argument about what role women should play, I think he has a point there as well. I know plenty of married women who are perfectly content to play the housewife role, to live pretty much as a wife in the 50's would have lived with regards to the dynamic between herself, her husband, her children, her life. There are plenty of other women who would rather have equality, who want to be on the front lines with the big boys, who believe gender is not a roadblock. My personal views on what role women should play are neither of these views, but somewhere in the middle.

I think perhaps a lot of people have trouble with this because they view a bossy, self absorbed, pig of a man, slobbering all over a woman, owning her, possessing her, dominating her in all the wrong ways. But what if that wasn't the case? What if a man was just a man, and he took care of his "manly" crap and his lady was just a lady and she took care of her "fairer sex" crap. What if they just worked well as a team that way? What if there was no push and pull for power and they just worked well to accomplish common goals for themselves and their loved ones. Wouldn't be so bad.

Anyways, you'll never have a whole nation agree on either point of view all at once, arguing about what role women should or should not play is pretty futile then, eh?

It's late, I'm tired and ill, I've rambled. Forgive my rambling ass if none of this made any sense.

The best nurse my dying father had was also a male. And he was amongst female nurses of incredibly high levels of intuition and compassion. It was the source of his intuition that brought about the insights where he did so wonderfully for those in his care like your male nurse did for you.

You from experience understand more than do those ever so limited in perspectives, education and more in this matter. Glad you had such a wonderful experience in this and what you positively took from it.

I merely offer a different perspective based on personal experience.
It's a shame you only see the negative.

I disagree on intuition being merely a learned behaviour. As that is like stating that some one whom is a natural at baseball is limited merely to learned behaviour. When there are even in basic considerations of physical, psychological and more multiple factors to consider. With environment considerations like you mention with regards to factor in intuition also.

You are wonderfully filling in the blanks for some who wondered of my commenting on "multiple factors". Also their is periods of history that affected intuition as well to which you have touched upon slightly as well to with mention of 50's. Which also was part of a turning point in multiple factors to.

As far as your ramblings go, your intuition and insights are worth looking at with your deeper thinking ways. Whether to agree or disagree with you my compliments to when you help others and in your deeper sharing's to.
