But, you know? Truly, everything is all right now. Even though what's going on around me with all of these couples feels bad - ultimately, the changes are for the best. I hate seeing anyone stuck in a relationship that isn't right for them. But even though all will be better for them soon, right now, within every one of these stories, there is someone in pain - and I hate that.

And yes! It is football season. As I've said before, I've never really had a team that I rooted for consistently. I was always drawn to the character of the players. Well - I guess I should say "persona" since so much of it is manufactured by PR people. Anyway, I've had so much fun bonding with my brother & other family & friends over golf that I'll be "auditioning" the Cowboys for the #1 spot. We'll see how the season goes.

I know what you mean about watching couples go through hard times, whatever the reason. It hurts to see folks you care about in pain. As you say though, the changes and shifts ultimately will be for the better, we have to believe that.

Also, I too have followed teams based on character and personnel, rather than a particular set of colors. I followed the Seahawks years ago because Chuck Knox seemed to have a club of character but now there just doesn't seem to be anyone that draws me, other than San Diego, but that's just because the QB went to my old alma mater. I miss good old football, you know?

Don't know if/ when I will post more photos, so it's a good thing there are SO many gorgeous and engaging women here on Lit to keep y'all entertained.

I had several from this weekend - I was travelling - that I thougth would be fun to post for you all. But then - I felt weird. You see - before, I wasn't out and about much. And when I was, I wasn't meeting and talking to men - so even if I did run across someone who had seen me on Lit, chances were slim that he would have the opportunity to make the connection.

But now? Well, you never know. I had a great photo of me before heading out for cocktails with friends (GREAT dress, lovely cleavage) and I cropped it, but then realized I was about to attend two nights of events and mingle with hundreds of people. If anyone recognized the dress - and me - it could get very awkward.

Not that I'm ashamed at all. I love all of the photos - the stories behind them, the progression through the thread. But -- I've seen what has happened to other women here on the board. And I know how callous some men can be - especially if they feel rejected. So, I don't think it's wise for me to continue posting at this stage.

It's a shame... because it's SO much fun.

Life is a complicated machine. Then add love into the mix and it really gets mucked up. Mine has lasted 28 years and pretty Im sure it wont last 29. Life changes people and its too short to be involved in something that you don't want to be involved in.

Polonius' advice to Laertes, no? I love this. When I went away to college I had photocopied it (the whole thing) laminated it and put it on my wall along with other inspirational poems my Mom used to read to me growing up.

Wow - thanks for the kind words HeyAll. I have thought of writing stories to submit, but decided against it.

Though I come across as very open in the thread here, I thinkg writing stories/ fiction ect. would be far too revealing. I have always been guarded and private, and very few (maybe 3) people have had the opportunity to fully know me. And of those three - 1 & 2 knew a very different person than I am now. Well, same person, different experience levels. And #3 - well the Fates have intervened.

I don't even know why I fear "exposing myself" by writing stories and fiction - it's not like I have deep dark secrets or anything. Still, that's probably why I didn't pursue a certain type of writing. Oh well - maybe someday.

Aww - thanks, Verbatum. I loved taking and sharing photos. Who knows, maybe someday I will again. But for now, it just doesn't seem like the right choice.

I also love (d?) sharing my journey here on Lit. I was going through wome extraordinary experiences. Well - they felt extraordinary to me, anyway. These days - my experiences are ridiculously mundane... to the point of being cliche. I'm not sure how compelling they would be if I did share them.
