Nude Day 2011 Contest Support Thread

And make sure a certain dancing monkey doesn't try to corrupt the first post position on the new page ;)

Welcome to the one and only official Nude Day Contest thread, eagerly awaiting the results :)

We're still tallying the contest votes. It's taking a little longer than expected, but we are working hard to get the results we want…

So who won in the LITEROTICA section of the contest anyway?

Has the QUEEN been kidnapped?

Is she unable to stop laughing at little ralphies output long enough to fix the results?

I just hope that Prince MANU isn’t into the sour witches again!

That's odd.

I thought I died 2 years ago, when I drove my Ferrari off a cliff.

Now you tell me that I've been murdered? Oh, my God.

Did Babs cut my brakes? Babs! Where are you? Get your pink bra in here? Explain yourself.

I don't believe it. I loved that car.

Oh, wait, I burped up 3 more stories, just this morning for the Summer Lovin' contest to be posted under my beloved alt for 2011, SuperHeroRalph.

That makes six stories that I have thus far.

Truth be told, even though you wish me dead, I'm not dead.

By the way, did you see the movie, The Town? Did you see where they hit that last "bread truck" robbery?

Well that's at the corner of Parmeter and Salem Streets in the famed North End of Boston. You can't miss it. Meet me there. Okay? I have a surprise for you, kind of a bag over the head bundle greetings that we give to our (ahem) best buddies.

Big Louie wants to personally take you for a ride to show you the city...from his trunk.

Not me, Goofball! I had nothing to do with that. I know for a fact that you are alive and well and waiting for July 23 to roll around on the calendar. Maybe Laurel is in another part of the world these days with a different calendar.

I had to take the pink bra off, Freddie. It's just too damn hot!

Result!

Congratulations to D_Lynn, ShyChiWriter and LunaEroticaMystica.

Thinks: must try harder ...

Alex

A very, very well deserved congratulations to D_Lyn, ShyChiWriter and Luna!

Excellent writing from all three!

I just saw! Wow, I can't believe it.

Congratulations to D_Lynn and ShyChiWriter and to all of the talented writers who entered the contest!

This story was in memory of one beautiful spirit, but dedicated to so many.

I'm all giddy with excitement. But more so, I'm humbled and touched by the personal stories that readers shared with me and the incredible support of you, my fellow writers, so Thank you! I've grown so much during this contest as a writer and as a person.

(Thank you Alex de Kok and Litfan!) :rose:

Congrats to the winners, raspberries to the whiners. I feel like I've won already; both of my stories received well over 100 votes apiece and many comments for first time in ages. Surely, I've gained some future readers.

Congratulations to the winners. This was a good contest, despite the efforts of the dancing monkey and the poo-flinging one.

Now to the serious business: I believe my essay, "Streakers and Streaking" should be a contender for the Last Place (tm) prize. It had eight votes after the last sweep and a score of 4.00.

Congrats to the winners and all the participants of the REAL and OFFICIAL Literotica Nude Day contest.

(I'd say congrats to the winners of the FAKE contest, but since it's a FAKE contest and the stories were stolen....)

Congratulations to the three winners, and to all of those who finished in fourth place.

Last Place Contest

Congratulations to the winners, and for the rest of us:

The ONLY REAL, GENUINE, NO SUBSTITUTES ACCEPTED, FAKE CONTEST:

The Authors' Hangout Nude Day 2011 Last Place (tm) Contest

Rules for Last Place contest.
****

Order for coming last:

Lowest voted rating for a genuine attempt at a story multiplied by number of votes if less than 25 divided by 25.

So - if rating is 3.00 but only 12 votes the score would be

3.00 x 12 / 25 = 1.44

If rating is 3.00 but more than 25 votes, the rating stays the same.

I suggest ignoring number of reads except as a tie breaker when least number of reads would *win*.
****

Since the 'winner' actually wins nothing, it is pointless to cheat. To enter, all you have to do is declare your rating and votes at the time the real contest is decided.

Participation is entirely voluntary.

Og is banned from entry for life because he finds coming last too easy and is a past multiple winner of last places.

For the last place contest, 1 votes are very valuable and 5s are bombs.

Og (whose decision is final unless you all gang up on me)

WOW! Didn't expect that! There were so many good entries in this contest. Congratulations to ShyChiWriter and LunaEroticaMystica. Awesome stories!

Like Luna, I received many heartfelt notes from readers who are in struggling marriages. Reaching readers on a personal level like that is what really does it for me. The contest part was a bonus.

I have to say, this whole process was interesting.

Thanks Alex - both for your personal feedback and your congratulatory note here. Thanks Litfan, Luna, kromen, Boxlicker, DG, MichChick, and Babs. Thanks ShyChiWriter for your personal congratulatory note; it's how I first learned of the results.

Same old … same old… WHAT A JOKE!!!!

Exhibition … Sci-Fi … Romance

These awards were once called READERS CHOICE AWARDS. Does anyone seriously believe these are the choice of LITEROTICA’S reading public?

Looking at the figures tonight showed that, even with the advantage that a contest story garners, these stories only received approximately 20,000, 15,000 and 10,000 views!

A quick glance at the MOST VIEWS in the Last 30 days list shows that more than 250 LITEROTICA stories received more than 25,000 views over the last month. In other words none of our winners were among the top 250 most read stories during their time on the site. In fact the second and third place winners probably weren’t among the top 500 most read stories!

Looking at the roster of winners that LAUREL has produced over the last couple of years would lead most casual observers to believe that he was on a Sci-Fi site and not an erotic story site.

Thank god for A.I.R.

Congrats to the winners as well. I have entered three contests now and although I don't do much chatting, I enjoy reading the comments of other authors.

And on an interesting note, the three winners were all in my top 5 that I enjoyed reading the most. I wish I could write such sweet stories like Luna where you really feel like it could really happen. It has inspired me to try down the road for such realism...athough not till the Christmas contest.

Until then I will continue my usual fluff...

Again, congrads to all the winners and I love the quote from YoursSINcerely...all us 4th place finishers!!!

I'm very new to writing for Literotica. I think my stories are improving with each attempt. I am searching for an editor.
I'm going to read the three winning stories to get an idea what it is people like and are searching for. I did enter the contest with a few entries and averaged a 4.62 on one story and a 4.56 on the other. Maybe some editing might improve my ratings.

Congrats to the winners and a hardy well done to everyone else.

One day the dancing monkey might figure out how a contest actually works. The number of votes, views, and or comments have nothing to dow with winning. It's how well the readers like the story. It's the highest average score. Nothing more, nothing less. Poor dancing monkey.

Yah! I'm a numbers kinda gal. None of you are losers if you entered the contest. I'm the one who lost by not sitting down and writing out my own tale. I miss the fantasy in my life.
