Ok, I've entered a third story. 'A Man In Turmoil' Only there's probably not enough nudity for some. I have nude beach and a few paragraphs where there is a Wet T-shirt contest or two. haha.

Wasn't going to enter it in the contest but I do have the nude beach scenes. I like the quick posting instead of waiting three to five days.
Good luck all, I'm no threat, just having fun.

Jeez! I said I like the quick posting and my story didn't get posted today. Oh well, I'll wait till tomorrow.
As far as sweeps, maybe a mini sweep but nothing earth shattering for me. Took away a few votes but no change in score avg.

Has there been a sweep yet? My scores have been rock steady since first posting while views continue to climb. I guess the first readers were a good statistical sample.

If anyone is interested in providing feedback or suggestions for improvement: http://www.literotica.com/s/naked-exchange and http://www.literotica.com/s/requests-1

The latter was intended as a public service announcement.

Mine were steady as well, until the last 4 or so votes. It dropped dramatically. :D You know you made it when you get trolled. ;)

Haven't been tracking, and don't have mine finished yet, so I couldn't say.

I'm using this one as a testbed for the automated tracking code. Probably be a few contests before I have it ready to go. Want to make sure it's fully tested and responsibly throttled to be as close to normal visitor traffic as possible. It will work a little faster than I can manually, but it will probably still take a half hour or so throttled. The advantage is that I don't have to manually record the data after looking it up.

Finally found a story idea for this theme that I'm completely happy with for once. It's on target with the theme, doesn't stretch the suspension of disbelief factor too far, and actually allows for some real hot and sticky fun, as opposed to the strict E&V stuff I've written for this one previously.

Hoping to finish it tonight, then get to the editing process. Should have plenty of time to get it in the contest -- though I'm not eligible to win.

"Key West Hospitality" was my first entry, but has been surpassed by "My next door neighbor" in the number of votes and score, but both have been holding pretty steady. I guess it helps to submit within the first week.

I've seen probably 2 minor sweeps. There was a lovely comment and then I got at least two 1-bombs. Another positive comment and another 1-bomb. OK, back to nuzzling now. So tiny...

I'd appreciate it if you not include any of my stories in any of your tracking. Thank you.

Get over it.

I'll be more than happy to blank out your titles -- the only personal identifier -- though. I'm forever having to expand the title column thanks to your titles. The category is the useful bit of information anyway.

You can include any of my stories and whatever else I have posted. The voting pattern does sound interesting. :)

I honestly can't tell if I've been in a sweep or not. There was some early bombing of my story, but it has been on a slow, steady climb ever since and I don't think it lost any votes along the way. It hasn't climbed enough to overcome the initial bombing that I saw...I don't think...gosh, this is really subjective of me, 'cause you never really know when people just plain don't think your story is that awesome and when they're just being jerks, y'know?

And then there's the worry that someone out there is throwing in duplicate 5's just to lead you to disappointment later.

Check the votes on your log in page for yor story. Kind of keep an eye on it. Sometimes you'll lose a few votes. (mini sweeps) but if you lose a lot it means the Hoover (vacuum) has been through. It takes away what the management considers Illegal votes. They aren't always low votes but high ones as well.

My story got posted this morning. Yipee!!!

Being the numbers guy that I am, being that we are two people who can use both sides of our brains, the analytical part and the creative part, I wonder how much of an impact my stories have over your statistics. In the past, based on the percentage of my stories, statistically, my stories have had a greater than average impact on your percentages.

After so many AHer's who don't read my stories and who have never read any of my stories are so quick to write that, "If SuperHeroRalph writes so many stories, they can't be quality stories." Yet, they are. Otherwise, I'd never have the following that I do.

Many of my stories have 300 to 1,200 votes and 50,000 plus hits with a number of them over 100,000 and a few over the 200,000 mark and one approaching 800,000 hits. Other than Scouries fantasy stories and DG's stories, how many of you earn that kind of attraction? Not bad for someone who is a story machine, huh? Not bad for someone who supposedly writes quantity over quality, huh?

Yet, when you count all the votes, the hits, and the comments, when you take a mean average of the scores, keeping in mind that my scores are the most bashed scores than any writer on the board, I wonder what percentage of the votes and hits that I receive, especially, after everyone believes that my stories can't possibly be any good.

We all know there are writers and then there are talented writers, writers who can write about anything at any time. I never wrote that I'm the best writer here or a great writer. I'm just a hack. Yet, no one here, no one, can put out the creative volume that I can put out. No other writer here can write as many stories as I do. No one.

When the chips are down, when an employer who is looking for a writer to hire, he's not going to hire a writer who takes 3 months to write one 3,000 word story. He wants someone like me. He wants someone who can pump out 150,000 words in a month.

Heh. And as soon as I woke up this morning after posting this, I see three new votes, dropping me from 4.65 to 4.62. That comes with two people putting me down as a favorite author.

I suspect I may have instigated some bombing just by posting that things were going okay. :)

Freddie, your sweep % is forever higher than the norm, and most often 50-100% higher. Your scores all go up from those sweeps. Your average gain in score is double the average for the contest.

Keeping in mind that your stats are included in those averages, which means that your higher than usual gains from sweeps are part of that average. If removed, your gains would be even higher when compared to the rest of the contest.

That doesn't seem to jive with your "the site is cheating me to keep me from winning!" complaint.

The rest of the numbers you're throwing? Incest and Loving Wives. That's all anybody needs to know to evaluate that. Otherwise, looking at the last contest, you average 145 votes and 10,516 views on anything where voting stayed on to track it to the end. Again, that includes the Incest and LW. Removing those, your averages are far, far worse.

In this case, removing your stats from the page actually increases the average vote totals by a handful, and the average views by about 400.

Again, this doesn't jive with what you're presenting here.

What you're really asking me to do is to hide the evidence that disproves many of your rants.

Rants? You call them rants. I call them defending myself, when attacked.

You don't want me to submit as many contest stories as I want, even though I have a rats chance of winning a contest, and even though Laurel said that there's no limit on contest submissions. We're both adults. We know that none of these contests and scores are fair. Otherwise, you, as well as some others, wouldn't have a page full of red H's and blue W's.

You'd have to be a dummy not to see why Literotica picks a certain select few to win multiple contests, so please don't insult my intelligence with lame excuses and phony numbers.

I can tell you this with certainty. My scores are capped. My scores are not allowed to go any higher than a certain number, which would explain why, even after hundreds of votes later, my scores don't change from the first days numbers. It makes no sense, other than I'm being limited, so as not to win a contest.

Yet, that's okay with me. So long as I can write my stories and not be attacked, I'm happy.

I don't bother anyone on the board. I never make an appearance, unless I have something positive to add. Yet, when someone pokes me with a stick, by creating a poll that's detrimental to me writing stories, and others, such as Scouries and Michchick attack me and call me names, I'm here to retort.

Enjoy your day.

I love tap dancing in a story among other places. :D

I don't know about in a story, but when I was about seven I ran up to the stage during an intermission of a Broadway play and decided to wow the crowd with my tap dancing moves.

I still can't believe I did that. *facepalm*

You never did realize what that poll was, did you?

Yep, you can post as many stories as you like. Laurel also asked for good reasons not to allow it.

Nobody has ever given one, and they still haven't. Yep, that includes me -- which I've already said.

If I didn't know that your sole purpose for doing what you do is to irritate people, I'd probably be defending you. The reason your scores are "capped" as you call it is because you've invited the wrath of nearly everyone you come across by acting like a douche. The way I've guesstimated one sweep to work, you shoot yourself in the foot once you've made low votes a norm, whether valid or not.

Is it right? Nope. Is it reality? Yep.

Not to mention that I would expect a "numbers guy" to understand why a score is slow to change once it has "hundreds of votes", but whatever.

Anywhere else on the internet, you would have been banned years ago. This site continues to publish you despite constant unsupported lies about it. It continues to allow you to rant and rave, posting unsupported lies about anyone who doesn't smile and pat your head.

You're shitting where you sleep, bub. Don't blame me because it stinks.

Have three stories in the contest. All seem to be getting a lot of votes. (of course, not all good ones) Quite a few comments also. The readers seem to be split pretty good on the Like/Hate the stories.

I'm having fun reading the comments. I've always said that not every story is for everyone. All three of my stories are in the middle of the pack. (where I usually end up). Good luck to all who enters the contest and I don't mind how many stories an author submits. That's what we are here for isn't it???
With respect
DG

My sole purpose is to write stories. Period.

The only reason why I submit stories to the contest is because they are seen longer by more people. Period.

For you to suggest that the only reason I write stories is to irritate people shows your stupidity.

Did you get a standing O?;)

You never answered how you and Scouries knew that I was posting a story precisely about your voting poll, before the story even posted and was eventually rejected.

How did you two know that, I wonder?

It was probably just a coincidence, huh?

You two are probably psychic, I guess?

Or are you Literotica plants, which would explain all of your blue W's and red H's, huh, Dark?

Something smells and it's just the contests.

All I do is write stories. Too many of you are just here to start trouble.

You show me where I started trouble with anyone in the 5 years I've been here and I can show you hundreds of incidences where you and your friends have attacked me out of the blue, just because I write too many stories.

That reminds me of the commercial where the parents are looking for the kid at a concert. Suddenly they see him on stage and he's playing chopsticks. Then the pianist shows up and helps him play. Then they take a bow to wild applause.

I always smile for some reason.
