Wussup, drama queen?*le sigh*
Morning, Tekster.
Wussup, drama queen?
Yup.Drama queen???? puh--leeeeeze!
Just trying to cultivate the motivation to go mow the weeds where my yard's supposed to be.
!i Whoa, fella. That sort of post just ain't nice.Yup.
Drama Queen - or are trailer parks democracies?![]()
Yup.
Drama Queen - or are trailer parks democracies?![]()
DRD?No, no. Trailer parks, by and large....are not. Totalitarian monarchies abound!
Deed restricted communities, however; are supposed to be. Trouble is, the bylaws of said communities typically include provisions about situations like my aforementioned weed uprising. I need to mow the shit before I get harassed about that....and all the other rules I break.

DRD?
Sounds like DnD- who's your...uhh...Dungeon Master?
Ain't democracy grand, comrade?![]()
There's a 3rd choice:On paper; yes.
I really can't complain about where I live.....There are a lot of residents here whose means have dwindled considerably in the past 5 years; and no one is really being a twat concerning bylaws. Luckily, the retirees are all busy golfing, and the working folk are too busy working...to care what rule someone else is breaking.
The grass does look like hell, though.....It's about time to revisit the financial prudence of doing it myself vs. having it done.
There's a 3rd choice:
Pave it over, or get a Japanese Garden- rocks and sand. If they say it's not in the bylaws, say it's your religion.
Xeriscaping?Actually, that is specifically prohibited. Only one kind of grass is allowed....and it's a pain in the ass!. Down here in Fl, the rocks / sand thing is generally referred to as xeriscaping ( also includes low or no maintenance vegetation; native species, etc). I feel this arrangement may be short lived. The grass we have requires constant watering, fertilizers, insecticides, selective herbicides, and fungicides. Some parts of the state have already severely limited or prohibited the high nitrogen applications required to make the stuff purty.
Problem with my yard....I have been behind on doing all those applications this year; so the insects and invasive grasses / weeds have taken hold.
At least it's mowed......
*time for a drink*

Xeriscaping?
Live and learn.
And why were you behind, hmmmmmmmm?![]()

That's the answer I'd have given."cuz I'm lazy and I fucking hate doing it!![]()

That's the answer I'd have given.
All y'all are crazy with your lawns. It's called "native species." Use them, and stop worrying about ever again selling your house for a profit.![]()
?Que?Got tired of updating the date, eh?
