hey there
how's things?
Enjoying the balmy weather up there? It's absolutely freezing down here. The wind has shifted and is now coming from the Antarctic, bringing snow.
Usually, I look forward to winter here (cuddling in front of the fire with bourbon and a good book) but this year it has hit with force, and as the no1son gave me a cracker of a cold, I am shivering miserably and wishing that 4 hours had gone by so I can take some more of the little pink pills that allow me to breath and fly at the same time!

Hiya WQ
yeah things are going ok here, the weather is ok i just dont go out much at all, aint worth risking my health as if my temp goes 38 plus straight to hospital i go,thats nice of no 1 son, hope ya kicked his butt, yes its nice & cold down in tassie now, better you then me lol, hopefully you'll feel better in no time WQ.

Ahem... People of Australia ... meet Munky! (Hold the dingos back please!)
He's had his rabies shots and is probaly "OK" ... except he neglected to hop the ditch to visit us when in Oz for SIX weeks!

OK, so you drank some wine, saw a desert, caught a fish, hugged a koala, drank some wine, boxed a roo, drank some wine .... yeah? So what'd you do after breakfast then ? ;) You had 41 days to visit NZ. Hmmm, Immigration ... the No Munky Policy.

PS Aussie women - don't get too friendly with him (it'll only encourage him and he's not yet fully house-trained ).

Thank you for the introduction, I think.

You guys have your clocks set all weird.

I would have visited NZ except that I had a NZ roommate and all he could talk about was shearing sheep (some sort of national champion). I'm not that much into sheep.

You have girls that frolic topless on the beach?

G' Day all and welcome to our newest friends

Just dropping in to check on the house and re stock the fridge

*waves* Oops, did this juice belong to someone else? Sorry 'bout that. *wipes bottle mouth with sleeve* I'll just put this back then, shall I?

Sorry to hear about your liver failure WQ. That's not exactly something you expect to hear, when you think you've just got the flu or something. Hope you mend quickly.

Your girls have tops??

The roommate was delusional.... I think you'll find that's sharing girls and topless sheep on the beaches. (Or was it sharing sheep ....?)

Mostly, yes. 'Tis a great American shortcoming. French islands are the place to be.

Since I'd had a NZ roommate for awhile and knew the accent, I baffled some kiwis because I knew they weren't from Australia. Most impressed, they were.

The Cook Islands are about #3 on my travel list right now. Maybe I should incorporate NZ and check out your beaches?

btw, just talked to Rain as I was writing this and she passes on her lusty regards.

morning :)

well, i made it through the last 40 hrs, so i'll be going in to get my test results today.
i will admit, i feel absolutely rotten, and my glands are bigger than ever. i have a slight jaundice now (only just noticeable), and i feel extremely lethargic.

being me, i'll be having a serious chat to the doc about whatever treatment i'm supposed to have... because i want to avoid going to hospital AT ALL COSTS.
people go into them, and don't come out.
ok, ok, it's a phobia, i admit it.

that, plus i still plan to be on that ferry in a couple of days.
i want my trip to kangaroo island!

Like when you meet a Canadian and they almost start humping your leg when you don't ask them if they are American? :)

Thats not good to hear :(

Many hugs sent your way.

I hope you've got a great doctor who can get you fixed up without hospital. :)

i have a brilliant doctor.
absolutely nothing is too trivial, or too much trouble for him.
plus, he's quite simply, gorgeous.
i feel better just being in the room with him (but that could be the hormone rush!) ;)

increased heart rate, rapid breathing, temperature slightly elevated.. I hope it doesn't interfere with the diagnosis ;)

A lucky man!

WQ - I'm so sorry to hear that your poor little liver isn't coping too well. My Mum and her side of the family all have liver issues and my Dad has kidney issues. Mostly it just means regular blood tests 'monitoring things' as sometimes, it is better to keep an eye on things, rather than to actively treat. Anywho, I hope you're on the mend and feeling better soon.

Hooray for Friday!! YAY! I'm waiting for 1/2 my new kitchen to arrive today. Oven should be here before noon, my dishwasher at 3pm, and I've got to go and pick up my flue (as I have tall ceilings, I had one custom made to fit the rangehood, so that it wouldn't have a join. It only cost $150, so well worth it considering the price of the rest of the kitchen!) I'm SO excited!! Yes, I admit it, I'm a bit odd.... you should have seen me when I got my new kitchen tap!

i understand about the kitchen tap! And equal to that is a decent shower rose :D

i'm off now to the doc. We'll see what he says.
I hope he can do something about the glands - i look like a wrestler!

WQ, If you do have to go to hospital just think how many times I've been in & OUT.

I spent 3 months over there (US & Canada) in 1995 & took much pleasure in asking the Americans if they are Canadians. :D:devil:
