Anyone for a nightcap?

I am not much of a wine drinker but I do have great memories of sitting in the sun at various vineyards tasting wines.

Oyster Bay and Cloudy Bay both make both great wines

For a good middle of the road and probably easy to find one over that way I would recommend Shingle Peak, not sure if thats a Marlborough one though and if you enjoy Chardonnays then Church Road is the way to go.

But my favourite has to be Lawsons Dry Hills, but maybe thats because they had a really friendly siamese cat to keep you company while wine tasting.

I feel a research road trip coming on.

Our reporter, live from the N.Z. vineyards. Can you attach a couple of bottles to an email and send them that way? :)

Mmmm love Oyster Bay sav blanc and daddy says you cant go wrong with some of the Marlborough wines.

Little Black Dress merlot. Not much complexity, but then that's what you want in a little black dress, isn't it?

Today was long enough that I had a frozen margarita with dinner, followed by a warm brownie and a glass of wine at the hotel bar...

1 1/2 days to go.

Warning: if you do get plastered, make sure that you leave generously sized breathing holes around your mouth and nose.

*guffaw*

A couple of Coronas with lime slices (of course). Quaffed outside. To celebrate the return of Persephone from the underworld.

Sipping on the nectar that is Two Hands 2007 Bella's Garden Barossa Valley Shiraz... Nummy.

Cheers & Happy Friday all!

* deeply inhales the aroma of your robust brew, mmms, sleepily smiles, and extends her empty cobalt mug...* Me too?

LordHighMightyMasteroftheSexualUniverse,
Me too? Please?

Sorry, ladies, though I'm profoundly flattered, the coffee was drained in a single mugful. I guess I'll have to make more next time.

It's time now to switch to some 120 Sauvignon Blanc to go with the home-made pad thai.

Tonight: Chateau Ste. Michelle Merlot, that went well with chipotle cheeseburgers, broccoli salad, and fresh fruit. First chance to dine al fresco on the patio this year.

And we didn't even have to shovel away any snow to do it. ;)
