For my part~racism is expected. In the real world as well as here. I am of mixed ethnicities and I have heard every thing from "High yella bitch, zebra, cracker friendly" (from those of the darker persuasion) to "Zebra, nigger" (from those of the paler). It proves nothing except that people devolve into childhood when they have nothing of value to say.

I choose to ignore it here. The people who have these opinions on the net can not harm me and do not matter to my sense of self. In the real world, things have been said, done, reacted to and it has changed nothing. I am still a mix that doesn't really fit either place and I no longer care to try and fit. It is NOT my job to fix the world. It is my job to raise my children to NOT see color, to NOT care about ethnic backgrounds...and I have done that.

To ignore it is NOT to tolerate it. Especially if one has battled that particular battle for most of their life. To live by example, that is far better and much healthier. That is what I choose to do.

We Caucasians don't blatantly tolerate racism. The news is full of soundbites of white guys going postal on their bosses and co-workers with various implements of death, to nail that one good and airtight.

Consider in the meantime, however, the growing phenomena in North America of the different races/cultures drifting apart in a non-violent "agree to disagree" self-segregation in an era of rabidly over-zealous political correctness.

Political Correctness to the extreme of school board bans being issued pertaining to physical activities being disallowed in school-yards at lunch/recess (dodgeball, tag, etc.) in fear of litigious parents.

Christ, No-one can eat foods with peanuts or gluten for fear of another person's possibly compromised immune system sitting next to you. You can't treat men, women and children as exactly that in fear of hurting someone's feelings (unlikely but possibly) leading to a welfare state of permanently emotionally disabled persons overloading the disability system down the road.

"Participant" ribbons at sports, rather than "first", "second" or "third place". What does that tell you?

People would rather retreat into their homes. Retreat than deal with the legally and financially stressful impact of the fervor of Political Correctness being shoved down their throats by the foaming-at-the-mouth goofy inconsiderate assholes of the world that just don't "get" why vasectomies, tubal ligations and (long or short-term) abortions are (sometimes) a good thing.

Inconsiderate assholes that somehow convinced the world to leave the gates wide open at globally-located psychiatric facilities.

Political Correctness that violently suppresses the sad reality that racism, sexism, & every other ancient, recycled interpersonal problem that's ever existed is still very much alive and well. A person's own home is pretty much the only place a person can really be themselves.

Condos/homes customized with all the water, food and pharmaceutical delivery services, playstations, novels, flatscreens, paypal style transaction services, and cable/satellite entertainment and (for some) laundry services they'll ever need to keep oneself supplied and comfortable as the rest of the world goes irretrievably nuts.

Natural selection - God set it up the way He did for a reason. The weak, slow, and sick get killed and/or eaten by the stronger, more innovative/adaptive creatures on God's Earth for a reason.
