Oh, I don't know how you could evidence that. Intuitively, I believe that most readers do gravitate to the H stories--after they've already isolated on a combination of genre, title, and slug. I can only hope that under the new system at Lit., readers are also looking at the ratings now listed with the story title--because I think there are a whole lot of good reades in the 4.0 to 4.5 rating zone.

Hi Dark, I kind of wished you would have done your synopsis this time. I had a goodly amount of changes in votes and in my score this contest. I know it would have been a lot of work but I really did appreciate it.

Just didn't have the energy this time out, and my hours at work are through the roof a bit ( snowstorms as much as double our volume, and there have been a couple lately *laugh* )

V-Day is also one of the higher volume contests. I haven't counted them up, but this one, Halloween, and Winter typically draw the most stories. The thought of a couple of hours each night was just too much.

I may track Earth Day, as it usually has a lighter volume, and I've also tracked that one for a couple of years running. Direct comparative data is always useful. Have to make sure I finish my story first, though. I haven't missed an Earth Day with my "of the wood" series since the first one, and I don't plan on starting now.

Just learned that such a forum exists...should get out more apparently...

I was fascinated by the way my story bounce up and down...mostly was at 4.69, but dropped to 4.62 for a while and then exploded up with the last sweep...

It is interesting...i just cant even begin to wonder why people would 'troll' as it is called. I don't expect to win, but i think i will do ok.

I will say My second story for the contest...the very vague vday story Making Mom Mine had over a 100,000 hits..my first such story to do so...so obviously the contest does get more reads...the story is just over 450, but also had over a thousand votes...youhave to add 5-6 of my other stories ltogether to get that many votes...

Anyways, good luck all who entered...it was my first contest and a fun experience to watch...
