his k-tel compilation of greatest hit threads.
What scares me is his basic ignorance. I know more anatomy than him and he claims to be a nurse???

Well, you're on here. There is not one single person on here that I'd let near any child of mine - porn boards and child care do not mix.
Gaa.....
Like George Bush said, "That was then, this is now".![]()
I would be okay with this list, and I think it's really good, except for the "chilly willy" guy, because I don't know who the hell that is.i would go on an AJ benefits of home schooling rant if Jenn was an educator.
I'll give some less than obvious--for me--choices for who I'd be pleased as punch to have teach my children.
Col. Hogan
kbate
rosco
wok
the chilly willy guy, as best as i can tell
byron
There are plenty others, but none of those would be considered the usual suspects for me.
Thanks. You'd be on mine, too. As would Kbate, CJH, and Col. Hogan.I do not know if I qualify for teaching kids, but thanks all the same.
As for a list, it is very small, but the lists including Byron, kbate, cjh and hogan top my list.
That's a good list. I'd let my kid go to that school, as long as the teachers were never in the same room at the same time.if i were to put together a group of teachers, they'd include hobbit, bronze, dolf, sean, byron, zumi, recidiva, phelia, English Lady, Wok, kybele and St Pete and Perg and torchthebitch - all for their innate qualities and for exposure to differing pov's.
that covers arts, crafts and self-defense (and bombmaking), languages and literature, cookery and first aid, metal work and techie techie stuff, politics and economics, media studies and (i hope) mathematics/geography. and tolerance. (that may take a little work...)
but wouldn't school be fun!

Jesus... teaching grubs. It's just never a future I'd imagined for myself.
you have never heard of queer theory? never heard of Pat Califia?I am. In fact, there's quite a push by some notable people for that as well.
well good luck with that. me, I think if black people choose to reappropriate the word, it's up to them. As a white person I have no fucking right to say what they should or should not call themselves. further I can see that in reappropriating, they steal the power of the word from the white hegemony.
I don't know one gay person who has reappropriated the word "queer". The ones I know still find it quite distasteful. "Krips" and "spazes" are out-of-date slang; no one uses those for disabled people any longer. And I've never heard disabled people talk about each other using them. .
I wouldn't even let my children know that I even go to this place.
you should hang around with more radical people, man.
Would it have killed any of you fuckers to include me in your list?

fyp ywyou confuse people who have a blunt with people who really do have a point.

well, given my kids did spend a lot of time with useless teachers, I suppose one more would make no difference.
You hurt a brother, you really do. And to think I was just getting ready to send you self-porn.
Do you live in a hole? He's on here all the time and lately he makes a good whipping post for people who like to put their own spin on posts.
and I'm not talking about norms using the krip and spaz as descriptors of disabled people, I'm talking about disabled people reappropriating a denigrating terms. like black people have done with the word nigger.
if language creates power, then taking the language of the oppressors then dilutes their discursive power.
Kybele said:As a white person I have no fucking right to say what they should or should not call themselves.
you confuse 'adopted' with 'reappropriated'. adopted was 50 years ago black people referring to each other as niggers because that was the term they were socialised with as a hangover from slavery. you think young black people don't know about slavery and the way nigger was used oppressively? you really credit them with that little intelligence?Telling bold-faced lies over and over about me "spinning" posts won't make it true. Ask CIH.
Yeah - the disabled really haven't done that. At least, not in the States.
If the language of the oppressors is adopted by the oppressed, the oppressors win. It's the best-case scenario for them: they have the oppressed degrading themselves. That's the whole point of successfully implementing a universally-accepted mentality of subservience: get the subordinates to put themselves down and accept their condition. Fooling them (and others, apparently) into thinking they've robbed the words of their power is an even greater victory for them.
I think it's perfectly fine to point out and recognize words that cannot be divorced from their derogatory origins, no matter what race one is. And I'd like to think we've moved past race as dictating what causes one is allowed or not allowed to take up.
I guess that makes me a little more "radical" than these folks you speak of. Oh well - they'll catch up someday.![]()
