I'm doing a series of BDSM illustrations for my anatomy class project, and the theme is "masochism as meditation". This is the first time I've done anything sexual for any art class, so I'm kind of nervous. The prof. seemed totally cool and interested in my ideas, so at least I've got his back!

The kicker is that I'm using myself as the model for all the images, and it's going to be a no-brainer for everyone to see that I'm drawing myself. While that may seem egotistical, I actually liken self-portraiture more to performance than anything else. And besides... if I don't have any real reason to depict anyone else in a piece, I'll just draw myself.

I'll be sharing them here when I'm done too. x3

Good luck! (Though I doubt you'll need it.) Definitely post those things here when you're finished. :)

That sounds wonderful! I'd love to see the finished drawings/paintings when you're done, if you don't mind sharing.

Thanks guys!

And they'll be interesting to scan... gonna be medical-illustration-y, with various removable cut-outs that reveal insides and chakras.

Maybe you can scan them and set them up through Flash so people can move through the different levels? I think Flash can do that. Or is it Java?

I'd love to see them :)

I liked the phrase 'masochism as meditation' too. I'm going to use that. ;)

I think doing this sort of stuff in a class is always fun, and always a little different too, so looking forward to them.

I don't know anything about flash. :S

I could just set them up side by side (before and after) like the old school artist that I am.

Alright, so, here's the first one that I "finished" today (haven't quiiite figured out how I'm going to put them up on the wall). I'd have done the root, but still haven't found a good red paper yet!

It's shiny in the corner because it's covered with a sheet of acetate.

(They're all going to be 6x6".)

Those look awesome. I wish I had your talent. :rose:

Thanks! More to come~

And it's actually marker and colored pencil on paper. I wanted to do chalk pastel, but I'm just working too damn small.
