Who does this harding think she is???

The ending was changed because I had a lot of comments that the original story just wasn't right. It changed about five days before the end of the contest, and basically I just lost votes from that point on…PS: If I've upset you then obviously I'm doing something right!

Your first line says it all. You changed the story midway through the contest. Which means that the story now being hailed as a contest winner isn’t the same story many of your readers voted on.

Quite frankly I didn’t believe it at first when your change was reported. I’ve seen a lot of things here but this goes well beyond anything that’s preceded it.

And from an A.I.R. AWARD winner of all things (although I must report that the Board of Directors of A.I.R. will be reexamining your victory in the next few days. A.I.R. will not allow its good name be sullied by authors who don’t play fair).

And my dear girl I don’t want you to worry – you didn’t upset me. The QUEEN :cattail: may disappoint me from time to time but I’ve seen too many cheaters, rule benders and liars around these parts to get upset when I trip over another one. But girl, what you're doing is sticking your tongue out at every honest LITEROTICAN…

By the way, here are my final results:

Brother Cucks Brother: Or Does He? Who's the father of Caitlyn's baby?
4.48 735 30042 Loving Wives (English) 10/21/10 approved
Public Comments: 34

For me it turned into a "minor sweep"contest - I don't believe I lost more than 65 votes - a relatively small percentage.

And the score was very satisfactory given the category. Only three "stand alone" (I hate this term) stories scored higher than 4.50 in the LW category during the last thirty days and they were written by two of LITEROTICA'S greatest authors - TryAnything and Harddaysknight. And right behind me are other giants, including ohio, Slirpuff, JustPlainBob, Britease, and Dg Heat. So I'm in pretty good company...

In fact it's an author list that would be wonderful to have as contestants... maybe one day the QUEEN will follow A.I.R.'s lead and allow stories from categories such as this one to win...

So what you are saying is, that you think a story that scored less than 4.5 should beat a story that won with over a 4.7?

You're supposed to be so great with numbers but this is ridiculous.

The readers voted and the highest scoring story won. Get over it.

college football turned onto its head?

How did I ever guess that I’d find a post from our one time pilot when I clicked open the world famous SCOURIES thread… ?

How did I guess that on the day the Miami Hurricane football program hit an all-time low that I’d hear from LITEROTICA’S worst actor?

I’ve been a Coach Shannon fan and backer from the day he was appointed but I fear that today was the beginning of his end. The Cane blogs have already turned ugly. It’s one thing to lose to Ohio St. or F.S.U. but I’m afraid that losing to the Virginias of this world is inexcusable.

UVa 24, Miami 19 :)

(Enuff said)

Yes, but Miami actually won because NCAA articially inflated the points for UVa because UVa uses NCAA preferred tropes in NCAA preferred, special categories, while Miami is actually the people's team and uses tropes and categories the people prefer. There was also a lot of cheating done by UVa. They used players that weren't original, but seniors, juniors and sophomores. Miami used only freshmen, because the people prefer to have fresh stories, rather than repeated "chapters," like seniors, juniors, and sophomores.

Two-thirds of the players and all of the coaching staff from UVa have been disqualified from the football game and AIR (Association of Independent footballeRs) has recalculated the score to reflect the true game, stripped of all cheating and rule-breaking on the part of UVa and the NCAA.

Scouries won the game 176 to 2. So, in light of his victory, we present his award for winning the UVa v. Miami game!

GO SPARTANS!!

I'm sorry, but A.I.R. (Association of Independent footballeRs) has disqualified Michigan State University from the BCS rankings for cheating and rule-breaking and use of ALTs for voting. The Spartans are located in a state that has many wild animals, so obviously belongs in the non-human category, and therefore cannot be a part of the true, accurate, and non-disqualified part of the BCS ranking system, which only allows for reader-approved, University of Miami beatable teams in the ranking system.

The new, improved, and accurate A.I.R. ranking system is now in place:

University of Miami #1

La Petite Academy #2

DeVry University #3

McDonald's University #4

Season 2 Participants of the Biggest Loser #5

This ranking system is true and accurate as all of the Board of Directors (James R. Scouries, esq. phd. phd. mfa. dvm. cpa. and his multiple personalities and three blow up dolls) have voted and agreed unanimously. Though, there is some talk of disqualifying La Petite Academy, as there is some talk that the fact that have recess means there is enough physical activity in their day to be considered a sports program and therefore are potentially capable of beating Miami.

Hey km, seeing you've dropped in maybe you can give us your opinion of changing a story in the middle of a contest..

Well here they are as of Nov 1st 2010. The highlighted authors are the only authors who contributed a story to the HALLOWEEN CONTEST. The rest sat on the sidelines. I've been criticised for saying that there's something fundamentally wrong with how the contests here work.

I'm always told they're wonderful ... or that they're fair ... or that all is well, etc., etc.

This list speaks volumes about the real state of the LITEROTICA contests... only three chose to participate...

Is it any wonder why so few readers take the time to vote in these contests?

IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE!!!

Poor scouries. Just more sour grapes and bullshit.

The reason the top fifty authors don't submit to contests is that they have better things to do like selling their stories as e-books. They have gotten past the point of worrying about building a fan base on a free porn site. A lot of them don;'t even write or post here anymore. They have better things to do. One is even dead.

I feel sorry for that dead horse scouries keeps beating.

Dunno if the contests are "wonderful" or "fair" at Literotica, don't care. I think they're likely as fair as possible considering that most literature contests have two or three judges in the field deciding what's best rather than anyone interested for people's choice. Bias isn't eliminated simply because it's not random and can't be randomized. Elementary statistics will tell you that. Considering that it relies on visitors to click open the story and rate as they choose, it's a fair enough system for what its purposes are. The fact that a wide variety of people win the contests rather than the same suspects over and over tells me that it's randomized enough and inherent, statistical bias isn't that big of an issue.

Your contests, however, are blatantly unfair and blatantly biased. The bias doesn't even come from the statistical analysis and inability to fully randomize, but from you, personally. You eliminate entries willy nilly based entirely on how you feel about things. Sci-fi has too many winners! It can't possibly be what the people want, so get rid of it. So-and-so is an Alt, because you said so, eliminate anything they do! This person's voting totals have to be biased, eliminate them!

The fact is that you don't have access to the ip logs. You have no idea if that person is an alt, you just have a feeling. You have no idea who voted for what, you just have a feeling.

You seriously need help, man. Face it, despite the presence of contests, writing is not a competitive sport. You are in dire need of a Lit-Break. Take some time to get some perspective. Do some yoga, take a zumba class, do some nature walks. Go forth and socialize with people in real life. Heck, try speed dating or something. At least you'll take your mind off of the fact that Lit's readership isn't nearly as impressed with your contest entries as you are. You are pouring wayyyy too much effort into something that ultimately exists as something fun for authors (and readers who care about more than self-gratification-the ultimate purpose of the site).

Before I answer the above post let me repeat the question I earlier posed to you: Do you, killer muffin,
image.php
believe that authors should be allowed to make major changes to their stories midway through a contest?

And if the answer to the above is yes, Do you, killer muffin,
image.php
believe that votes cast for the original story should be allowed to stand for the revised story?

Given your posting history and the “bias” you’ve shown I’ve a pretty good idea of how you’re going to answer… so I'll just sit back and wait and see...

In the above you didn’t directly mention “category bias” probably because you know you’re on much shakier ground there.

Nor ”multi-chapter bias”. In fact it’s in these two areas that my charges have mainly been hurled. And my dear the statistics do bear out my thesis. And if you don’t believe me I invite you to do the exercise yourself – simply take the monthly winners for the last three years (approx 108 stories) and separate them by category and again on whether they are later chapters in a multi chaptered story or stand alone stories. I think you’ll immediately discover the bias you say you can’t find…

“Willy-nilly?” James R Scouries!

While I sit on the Board of A.I.R. ma’am I don’t answer their phones nor work their computers. Board Members look at the big issues, not the minutiae of running an association that represents millions of readers. So you’re right, I don’t have access to ip logs (whatever they are).

But when A.I.R.’s Director of IT tells me he can identify ALTS and identify “fishy” votes I believe him. He’s the expert for crying out loud.

As for the cheaters most of the time they’re so brazen that they identify themselves – it’s normal for AHers to sit around and boast about how they got away with this or that.

Of course it’s a “competitive sport” dear – always has been and always will be. It’s a jungle out there...

And maybe when you’re contemplating your navel the next time you do your zumba yoga you might ask yourself why the concept of another “competing” contest bothers you so much. What offends you so much in having even more prizes awarded… have you by any chance been ordered to make your hateful posts? And if so are you willing to identify who ordered you?

Will you please take the time to learn how to use the quote function. You look like even more of an idiot without it.

In red is The quote from KillerMuffin that scouries is to dumb to make the easy way with the quote function.

In the above you didn’t directly mention “category bias” probably because you know you’re on much shakier ground there.

That's because she's talking about your fake contest and how you run it. Your reading comprehension still sucks.

Nor ”multi-chapter bias”. In fact it’s in these two areas that my charges have mainly been hurled. And my dear the statistics do bear out my thesis. Multi-chapter stories has been dealt with in contests. otherwise they are legal in the monthly and yearly contests. As they always have been. If you don't write them then that is your problem not everyone elses.

“Willy-nilly?” James R Scouries!

Silly Willy is more like it.

While I sit on the Board of A.I.R. ma’am I don’t answer their phones nor work their computers. Board Members look at the big issues, not the minutiae of running an association that represents millions of readers. So you’re right, I don’t have access to ip logs (whatever they are).

There is no such thing as AIR. It's all in you head. There is no Board to direst. There are no Board members. There is only you, you alts, and you bloated ego. The only thing you and your fake contest represents is yourself and your ego. We all know this so why keep up the sham.

But when A.I.R.’s Director of IT tells me he can identify ALTS and identify “fishy” votes I believe him. He’s the expert for crying out loud.

There is no director of IT or anything called AIR, so you don't have a clue as to who is or isn't an alt. The only fishy votes you know anything about are the ones you make yourself.

As for the cheaters most of the time they’re so brazen that they identify themselves – it’s normal for AHers to sit around and boast about how they got away with this or that.

You will have to point that out to all the good people. Where and when was this written and or done. Please point us to it. You won't because you can't. It never happened except in your paranoid mind. quit blaming others for your own short comings.

Of course it’s a “competitive sport” dear – always has been and always will be. It’s a jungle out there...

Only as far as you are concerned. The rest of us are well balanced mentally to know the truth.

What competing contest? Your contest is a fake with no prizes. It has nothing to give except to inflate your ego. It is sanctioned only by you personally for your own benefit and nothing else.

No one gets ordered to do anything around here Scouries. The only one yelling and ranting is you. There is no conspiracy, there is no secret backroom group out to get you. You are your own worse enemy so why would anyone take the time or trouble.
