Thanks, Jenna and Geeraff, for "coming out" as Christians with non-majority desires. I'm also a Christian, and do struggle sometimes with my sexuality.

Let me say up front that Westboro Baptist types are NOT Christian and bring more shame to the name of Jesus than me and my panties.

With that in mind, I'd like this thread to be a place where we can openly discuss faith, sexuality, and anything else related. All comments and questions are welcome. I'm sure many of us have had some rough treatment from the pharisees, and if you need to vent, that's okay.

I'll check back in awhile, after I scan through "Sexiest and Hottest Cocks" (again).

I'll do what I can to help. Not sure I'll be a best example. Hope we don't cause a flame war over this. LOL Big hugs and kisses, Jenna

I grew up around Christians though my family wasn't big on church.

Got into Wicca and now worship the God and Goddess. It works for me. They're happy as long as I'm happy and no one's getting hurt.

My hubby's Catholic, which you'd think would cause problems with me being Wiccan and bisexual but he's okay with all of it.

A given religion, in and of itself, is not a bad thing. Its the zealots who get the most press coverage that make it look bad.

Not looking to start a war. If people write an angry post, it's probably because they've been hurt or are hurting. Go ahead and let it out. It's a beginning. Also, I'm not having a "woe is me, I'm a dirty pantyslut" crisis. I'm just sincerely interested. We talk about everything else, here, why not faith?

I know two things: I am a terrible sinner (and not because of my sexuality, but because of simply being human) and Christ is a wonderful savior.

I'm curious about Wicca: What is its ultimate end? The Westminster confession says the chief end of man is to "glorify God and enjoy him forever."

Wicca is quite similar in its end object, except that the deity is not "him," but "they" and prayers are inwardly directed.

it's an earth based religion, meaning that heaven and hell are here and now instead of somewhere in the sky after you die.

(Atheist here, with twenty years of Wicca practice because I like it.)

As far as the WBC not being Christian, all I can say is that they seem all too much like way too many Christian churches in my experience. Just because other churches don't speak as bluntly about homophobia and hedophobia (hatred of pleasure and happiness) doesn't make much difference to me. If Xtians want to regain their religion from the haters, they had better start making more noise about it.

Hi

I am a Christian too and really struggle with my sexual desires in relation to my faith.
As a Transsexual who finds men and women attractive it really can be a guilt trip.

I hope this thread is a place where we can explore and grow together.

Much love,

Emma. x

{{{Emma}}} Welcome aboard. :rose:

I guess I don't know what all the fuss is. The real issue in some people's minds between homosex and hetrosex is reproduction. If you aren't hetero and that bugs you, there are things you can do about it: Adopt, surrogate motherhood (for gay guys), sperm donor (for lesbians).
Personally, I never understood this hang up that some LGBT have that the desire to have children was somehow limited to wonderful heterosexuals. It isn't. If I was fertile, i would have done my best to be a parent. I wasn't, so it wasn't in the cards for me.

As to LGBT that don't have any interest in kids, why fuss over faith and sexuality at all? Do you think that putting a penis in a vagina is the only way to enter the pearly gates? Do you think most heterosexuals wallow in thoughts of eternal damnation if they use birth control, withdraw early, do anal sex, do oral sex, or do mutual masturbation? Do they give up sex when the woman is past menopause since God's work of making babies is over and done with? Also, do you think that most heterosexual men rely solely on natural nocturnal emissions if their wife isn't up to sex as often as they have the urge for it? I would be willing to wager that there is a lot of wasted seed in toilets, shower stalls and bathtubs, dirty socks, underwear, sheets, sticky Penthouses -- just to name a few places. If straight guys don't sweat whether they will burn in hell for wasted seed, then why should I?

This is exactly what religions are supposed to be about but they never seem to understand that.

I'm a "Born Again Christian" and a lesbian, Christian meaning Biblical Christian!

Most of the "churches" have no idea what Christianity is! They dreamed up their Ecumenical Council and decided they were going to define Christian to the rest of the world.

In actuality the word church biblically makes no reference to ANY form of building.

It's actually a translation of the greek word "Ecclesia" meaning "the called out".

The "Holy Roman Catholic Church" ruled europe and literally demanded everyone pay homage to the HRCC, hence the Crusades.

Martin Luther broke the mold when he had the courage to question the teachings of the church, and point out where the HRCC teachings strayed from the written "Word of God".

Later, the Queen of England asked the biblical scholars to translate the bible into english, her only demand was that it MUST be as exact as possible. If there were terms that were not thoroughly understood, they were to give the original and what they thought it meant.

Hence we have Matthew 27:46 "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

The HRCC teaches that King James wanted a divorce and the Catholic Church denied his request and so he had a new Bible written that would permit him to get one. The HRCC has been telling that lie for centuries.

King James was born in 1604 and the King James Bible was started in 1607. How many 3 year olds are out there asking for divorces?

They didn't understand "lama sabachthani" and thus saved the original with it in the verse.

In fact this was the verse that got my attention, and started me on a biblical quest back before HS.

In my thinking, if God could turn his back on his Perfect Son, he could turn his back on me because I forgot to check the toilet seat before I sat down, and that's ABSURD!

If God's Word says something repeatedly, IT'S IMPORTANT!

...and it says "never leave you nor forsake you" nearly 50 times.

Sorry, sometimes I get carried away!

"Basiic Beliefs of Christians"

...according to the Ecumenical Council!

•There is only one God.

•God is three in one or a Trinity.

•God is omniscient or "knows all things".

•God is omnipotent or "all powerful".

•God is omnipresent or "present everywhere".

•God is sovereign.

•God is holy.

•God is just or "righteous".

•God is love.

•God is true.

•God is spirit.

•God is the creator of everything that exists.

•God is infinite and eternal. He has always been God.

•God is immutable. He does not change.

•The Holy Spirit is God.

•Jesus Christ is God.

...the second and the last two are Hocus Pocus BS!
