I like nerk's haiku thread so..

You know how orgasms are often represented on tv with fireworks exploding, work whistle blowing, ..
What imagery comes to your mind for an orgasm.
You can write the imagery however you want. Short, long, rhyming, anything. Just do it!

My orgasm:

A time lapse photo of a flower opening.

the happy ones sound like "My Favorite Things"

when you flip the radio to the station right when Coltrane goes ballistic on it.
and you just listen and think "What the fuck is that?"
until out of the chaos come just a few notes of the sweet, sappy melody, and suddenly the mess makes perfect sense.

sweet chaotic sappy mess

sometimes like this:

a gathering
a drawing in
from all my furthest points
to someplace hot and tight
in the small of my back
a little lower
a little deeper
sometimes
the best times
the mind is as involved
moreso the heart
a ball of concentration that builds then
bursts
a cold-fire bloom all colours of the sun
for a long, slow, second
then white hot energy
faster than the speed of sound roars outwards in a silent cosmic wave
to fingertips, toes, head, cunt, mouth, eyes, nose
and my whole being's rolled soundlessly in its white waters
till i am released
left gasping
on an empty beach

oh la de de and fiddlesticks. i shoudda known better than to write from the ... heart ;)

a bowl of broth it is, then :)

More sound than image, but an image comes to my mind nonetheless:

Beside another flame Um will bare
All fur tomorrow night for him alone
And celebrate, despite the danger there,
The birth of poetry’s primeval moan.

From Hunt and Gather, the first poem I ever submitted to Literotica.

I like the slo-mo flower opening.....

An old one of mine on the subject, excuse the fireworks - so passe.

She Comes

Alone or wrapped in love
it starts
a knot
a kernel of excitement spreads
outward
sensations spiralling
from the centre of heightened intensity.

One finger caresses the essence and
it rises wetly to kiss the tip
twin sister also harden
unbidden.

Slow motion florescence sends
showers of sparks
streams of spores
to flood every fibre
motes held motionless in
the moment of passion.

Reflexive
muscles twang with lustful chords
back arcs
sinews strain.

Now
the tide turns
all sensations focus
on what is inside
what is held
there
embraced in inevitable pulses
behind closed lids

fireworks.

Not trying to spam, but a couple poems I posted detail my favorite self-created orgasm images:

Your mouth on me stops time
and all else is meaningless
I'm your plaything; I beg
I float in leaden weightlessness
and burn underwater,
mastered.

All suspended, body a live wire of want
as you pull my strings
dance me
love me
own me
and then I break
flying apart

deliciously

-and-

-Reincarnation-

Let me tell you what it feels like
my body is solid ice, iron
there is no moving in it
it is a tomb

Until you whisper your secrets to it
Where your tongue tells me,
I begin to melt
ever so slowly

Only the outside is unthawed
Inside, your majesty spreads throughout me
like a prairie fire
or word of a hanging

Oh, Christ
in those fatal seconds
I can see
everything
in me
flying
supernova
(so much together, then all far away)

Fuck what the poets say
This is not a little death

This is reincarnation

every afternoon
on the trellis
the tight spiral spike
waits for the sun
to disappear behind the trees
so it can open
a white ivory trumpet
spilling perfume
in the darkness

I rather prefer those that appear she is consumed by it - like it has taken control rather than that she is responding to it. It may appear subtle, but you can tell she is completely focused on what she feels.

There was a young girl from Northhamp
Who once got a terrible cramp
All her muscles went tense
From orgasms immense
Screamed from pleasure, then pain till unclamp.

Whew! I, um, need a damp cloth.

On second thoughts, I'll cook, you bring the wine - white because I'm cooking seafood. Bring your bib, it's lobster.

You're so bad you're good. :D

An old sex-orgasm poem of mine I just edited a bit. As you know I never met a metaphor I didn't like.

Amante II

Now again the night is sentinal.
Curtains flicker their small nods,
approving us as we complete

the darkness, blooming in the first
brush of lips, smooth petals, winged,
unfolding to grasp the taste.

Stars glow in our mouths, falling
rising in restless flutter. We are birds,
roused from the nest, awakening

to undo, release, trail essence
sucked from skin like nectar
to take flight, take me on you,

over you, locked at chakras.
Souls join hips, foreheads, mouths
murmur So Good. My amante

this pull and push aches sweet.
We swallow the pulse of life, poised
like animals. I'm lifted in your hands.

We are carnal, we are cerebral. We are
beyond reason, awash in sigh, cresting,
drenched in moonlit humanity.

And a lagnappe: a beautiful orgasm song from my beloved Laura Nyro. I love her metaphor of "love explosion."

Well, he brings out the worst/best in me......:D

I love your poem. I've also loved this poem by Erica Jong for all my adult life.

The Long Tunnel of Wanting You
From How to Save Your Own Life

This is the long tunnel of wanting you.
Its walls are lined with remembered kisses
wet & red as the inside of your mouth,
full & juicy as your probing tongue,
warm as your belly against mine,
deep as your navel leading home,
soft as your sleeping cock beginning to stir,
tight as your legs wrapped around mine,
straight as your toes pointing toward the bed
as you roll over & thrust your hardness
into the long tunnel of my wanting,
seeding it with dreams & unbearable hope,
making memories of the future,
straightening out my crooked past,
teaching me to live in the present present tense
with the past perfect and the uncertain future
suddenly certain for certain
in the long tunnel of my old wanting
which before always had an ending
but now begins & begins again
with you, with you, with you.
