now why would that be? Because you enjoy being guilt-ridden?

Lol..no I just enjoy repenting my sins. Fits in with my being a good girl thing :)

Yes I know just the place..its up in Smokie here in the states... field of grass.. with slow moving river.. trees.. yes a bit of heaven to sit and chat hugs and cuddles...

:kiss::rose:

fred

Sounds idyllic :rose:

i'm doin alright, just at home chilling

Odd for you..you mean they actually _have_ other staff  ;)

Ha....that is so true!!!
I'm catholic, not practising now, the guilt is awful.....but I have to say it is older people's interpretation of catholicism rather than the church.....

I'm prepared to be stoned now

I think its okay..the church elders cant hear ;)

He wants contact & is testing your reaction.

I say DO NOT REPLY!!

If you reply for whatever reason is in your mind, he's got what he wants.

*hugs*

Nods

I agree..just working out if my need trumps avoiding satisfying his need for contact.

Thanks :) *hugs*

PS Sorry for hijacking your thread Bethy, normal service will be resumed shortly. In the meantime, some music...

Don't apologise (either of you) it has given me something to read and think about :)

I dont have a religion as such but I want to attend my local C of E church..even if my views differ slightly. I like the way jewish people question everything, I like the confessional repentance of Catholicism and I erlate more to the views of the C of E. However... I dont believe in the bible but I believe in God.

Thank goodness for that, I thought it was just me for a minute!

Dont know any of their catalogue but I'll see what I can do. I'm not in to Drum N Bass much (does Bentley Rhythm Ace count?)

No, not just you ;)

and no :D

My two cents.

Good advice. I'm not that familiar with FB, but can you report him to them and have his account deleted? Of course, being a manipulative bastard he'd just make a new one.

Steer clear kiddo, and if you need any kneecaps busted give me a hollar.

option 5: get my lit friends to put him in concrete boots :D

Welcome to my thread hun

I can block him and I can also alert them of him if i feel he will harrass me via other means

would that be repenting or repeating your sins???

My word your complex! To me, I think (as _me_ said), the "church" is more about values, rather than is there a physical (or otherwise) entity called God. But each to his own and who are we to judge because of the choice?:D This is getting a bit deep!!!

Well, if you will insist on being so naughty...:D

I'm (very lapsed) CofE, but that's the problem I've always had with a lot of religious people I've known over the years- their behaviour doesn't actually reflect their faith, they just interpret it in a way that lets them use it as an excuse for their own narrow-mindedness
I used to have a colleague who was very religious- and just about the least 'Christian' person I've ever met in her attitudes towards others...

Bloody Hell, this is all a bit profound for 7:30 in the morning:D

Why have I got a sudden urge to watch Life of Brian now????:D

Oh good- I'm not the only one whose mind works like that sometimes....

I never thought I would be having a theological debate that's for sure...

And no, your not alone with a warped mind. Now, where's that bit of fish that's good enough for Jehova...

Well...I could repeat as long as I repent ;)

Is complex meant as a compliment? I hope so :) I like Jewish methodism because I hate the way most other faiths (im not clued up on all) just want you to believe on blind faith. Why have a brain? The holy book tells what to think anyway.

And that's the problem I have. The holy books were written in a way to be interpreted..not just solidly believed. They were also written by men not God or spiritual beings themselves. And in times where women weren't exactly worshipped.

I have a lot of kinship with Native American spirituality. I was gifted a very spiritual dream recently and I a N.A healer was present to help me heal. - Of course I didn't know this at the time. I happened to recount the dream to my N.A friend and he told me the importance of the dream and how special and lucky I was to have it.

I saw the pic and the caption and I was torn between going...ooo that was a bit close to the bone or just laughing. I did both :D

Religious people can be the most narrowminded and anti community people around. Elitist. And yet they spread all this propoganda about love thy neighbour. Should have a disclaimer: Unless they are gay, living in wedlock, have 'bastard' children, have mental health problems, drink too much (oh wait..no room left on the sign)

;) almost a game of verbal twister!

Welcome to a conversation with a real and intelligent woman ;)

Glad you laughed anyway...To be honest, it was the first quote from the 'stoning' scene in 'Brian' that came to mind, and worked in Google Image Search....I guess it might say something about the church's attitude to women though- I bet I can guess exactly where my very narrow-minded (and female) ex-colleague stands on women priests etc....

Morning Bethy- how are you?

Morning sweets. Im good thanks..wishing I was on whatever is makign my cat super active and crazy ;)

Best of both worlds eh, as long as you repeated with me, I'd let you off with a stern warning;)

Yes, it was a compliment (aren't they always?) If everyone was happy in their own faith then a lot of the problems in the world would go away (or, as has been mentioned, people stopped using religion as an excuse for other stuff) but I fear hat is never going to happen. As long as your happy with your own faith (even if you don't have one, what more can you ask)

Starting to sound like "Bethy's Evangelical Hour of Power", brought to you by your local cable company...:D

Cool name for it :)

Nice work for getting the thread back on track...;)

Lol..yep  I was bored with blogging and since I don't have any naked pics of me thought I would share a doodle

I got another blog award today and someone is using my 'manly' award button to give her favourite male blogs an award :D Like uber compliment day today. Soon I will be seeing my primitive art work all over the blogosphere!

Hey Bethy =] How are you doing?

Hey

I'm good. Still in a Kafuffle over my problem which I made ten times worse last night..my own fault.. but generally really good :D

How are you mister denny?

LOL- I know- visited my mum for a few days recently, and her dog is like that first thing in the morning- charging round the house like a mad thing...I'm like 'It's 6am- why aren't you as tired and dopey as I am two minutes after I've woken up.....?':D

Oh yes, my ex-colleague was a barrel of laughs- Apparently she once walked into the staffroom at work while a couple of the younger girls in the office were giggling over something in an 'improve your sex life' article in a womens' mag- one of them had apparently tried something from it on her boyfriend over the weekend. After they'd gone, she picked the mag up, looked at it, and said it was disgraceful- anyone who needed to behave like that was a pervert:eek:

Prude! =p Maybe she's jealous?

Thats no good, I hope you sort it out babe. How did you make it worse?

I am...quite good. Had a big mechanics bill this week, but I am like, 3, 4 weeks away from finishing my apprenticeship. Which is grand. Everything else is going very well =D

I sent a message to a guy..but not one I had planned to send and he is being all fake nice and reasonable. So now I feel like I am being the crazy one. Basically sent me this:

...if you'd prefer us to leave things the way they are, then i wont message you again.. and then asked if i wanted to be friends

I've chosen to not respond just yet. Trying to work out if just ignoring him is as empowering for me as shouting abuse at him would be.

Awesome hun..not the bill obv. but the nearly finished part. Big celebration planned?

Prude! =p Maybe she's jealous?

Could be....though I knew her for nearly 10 years, and never heard the slightest hint of her even dating anyone- I don't think she's remotely interested in sex- or anything else that might distract her from her religious obsession....a very strange lady!

I guess that's just how he wants you to feel- personally I'd just blank him out totally now and ignore any other messages he sends you
