I just wanted to start a general discussion on furry fetishes. What do people generally consider furry? What do people consider hot vs. gross.

Some of them do, some are more into a lighter kind of animal play. Kind of just like roleplaying as an animal, or just wearing a tail and ears. The ones who are fully into the suits generally do have sex just as if they were an animal.

People are generally scared of what they don't know about. And that fear turns into hate. It happens with racists, bigots, and gay bashers too.

They look like blue cats to me. Although I thought the alien proportions they gave them in the movies made them a bit unattractive looking. Wouldn't be a problem with real people in amateur costumes though.

Scaleys are cool though, I love dragons and snakes are kind of interesting.

I'll have to give it another watch, at first glance they looked more dragonesque than catlike. But I was kind of drunk at the show lol.

Scaleys have a real kind of charm that is very sincere. Like anyone can do a little anthro as just a cute little kink, but it takes a very dedicated person to be a scaley.

If you say so; I always thought dragon was next in popularity after fox, wolf, and cat. And it's easy to pretend to be a mythical creature that no one knows what it's like so you get to just make it up.

I dunno, maybe I don't grasp what it means to 'be a scaley' - I don't have a fursona myself because I'm mainly a sff writer and so I 'am' whatever the main character of the current piece I'm working on is. I haven't noticed a difference in difficulty between being an avian, a mammal, a mythological creature, or a giant sentient amoeba.

I actually have a friend who has a FA account, and posted some robot stuff there. I think it was pretty well-received.

Though tbh the only thing that really makes me go "ick, furry porn" are the animal faces... muzzles. If the face is flat and humanoid, then I could probably get behind it.

Robots I think have a class of their own. Furry/scaley/feathery are typically just that.

On FA robots are pretty big, just like hybrids and mecha. FA are a bunch of pretty cool furs.
