It's set in the 80's. Their are two girls in it, both realizing they are lesbians. One knows herself more and is more sure of her sexuality. They are in a female boarding school I think. They always have to wear the proper attire of white shirt, skirt, stockings. I remember at one point they go to sleep in the same bed and the one girl's little sister sees them and they try to play it off.

The movie has a sad ending. I don't want to write anymore or ill spoil it. Can anyone name it for me yet? I want to rent it again, it was a good drama.

hey, why did you spoil the movie? anyone who might have been interested now knows the ending. you aren't the only person on the planet.

LOL, I wasn't gonna watch the film or anything but it's good to see someone who is spoiler aware on an internet forum. SO many times I have gone on to a forum about a game or movie BEFORE it's even out thinking "I can chat about it without spoilers, they haven't even seen it yet!" only to see the flipping ending.

It's hardly giving away the whole story. I'll still watch it, eventually.

Two Girls in Love was SO cute though.

Oh, please. I found the spoiler by googling the film.

Besides, "the movie has a sad ending" plus "it's about lesbians" almost always means a woman dies. "Lesbian love affair" means tragic love affair. it's been true ever since "The Well Of Loneliness."

I've had my fill of women not surviving fiction.

I admit you do have a point. There aren't all that many endings presenting itself after you read the summaries.

Are there any other good lesbian or gay love stories/dramas?

What is the movie with Peper Perabo, she falls in love with the female florrist from her wedding?

I think that Loving Annabelle should be at the top of any list of movies when you're talking about Lesbians in film. It goes into a pretty taboo area, what with the relationship between a younger and older woman, but it's just fantastic. Such a sweet and romantic movie.

Also Imagine Me and You is one of the sweetest Romantic Comedies of all time and it revolves around a lesbian couple. Well a two women that meet at one of the womens wedding and things just happen from there. It's just good.

I think both of those movies are available to watch online over at Logo.

I forgot about Loving Annabelle--sigh.

Touching movie about two lesbians at boarding school...I dunno the name.

Makes me think of "Therese and Isabelle", a very tender and gentle love affair between 2 teenage girls. Told from the perspective of Therese in flashbacks whie she is visiting the grounds 20 years later.

http://www.amazon.com/Therese-and-I...ef=sr_1_2?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1285765965&sr=1-2

...and yes, I have it on DVD, if you want porn, look elsewhere, this is Romance, NOT PORN!

But I'm A Cheerleader

It's about a cheerleader who realizes she likes girls and her parents send her to a boot camp to de-gay her. It was either a boot camp or a school. I remember it being a good movie at times and crummy at others, but worth watching.

I'm not sure she liked girls before she was sent to the boot camp, but she definitely liked them after! RuPaul was great in that.

loving anabelle is great, piper perabo did another lesbian movie set at a school, she is just so damn hot, something about her that is just subtle and sexy

Welcome to the homophobic standards of Hollywood! You'd think after the decades upon decades of queers being in film that they'd quit doing that so much. I took a queer cinema class a few years back and walked out of class ridiculously aggravated. I wish the world would catch up.

Hell yeah! Even The Rocky Horror Show let me down.

I wrote my first fanfiction to fix that ending.

I've never really thought about it with RHPS. I'll have to ponder that. Although, that film will never be a disappointment for me. It's just too amazing and such a permanent fixture in my life, starting from a young age.

What was your fanfic ending?

Everybody survived, I found the castle, and Frankenfurter did his surgical wizardry and gave me a gender button that let me become male or female as I wished.

I was 17.

That would be the coolest button if one were ever to exist.

Which is why we write fiction.

Which is why I don't want to imbibe any more fiction that ends in tragedy for the token gay man, or the lesbian girls.

That is a sweet one I enjoyed too. Black and white movie--the scene where they are in the library is so sexy.
