I am curious if there are differences in the way men and women perceive these ideas.

I know, I know, this isn't the darkroom lounge, but I still think it's fun to throw a topic out for those of you women who stumble through my thread.

What makes me feel sexy? It depends. Sometimes it's something I am wearing and it doesn't have to be sexy clothing at all. Sometimes it how soft my skin feels. Sometimes it's a mood. If I feel mischievous, that sometimes makes me feel sexy.

What I find sexy about a man, is his laughter and his humor. Shoulders, calves and a chest that has hair on it that goes into what is caled a "Happy Trail"...

I only said almost because I've made a couple of ugly women. Spiteful and angry, I find them to be the opposite of sexy. So I feel it's an attitude.

I feel pretty is subjective. It's not a competition.

As I got older, I realized that all women have beauty. Most just don't feel it because we, as a society, have this idea of classic beauty in our minds.

If we erased that concept and did not worry about what others thought, then we wouldn't be hung up on such ridiculous ideas and we wouldn't have even the thought that we could put down others.

THere are many different things that make me feel sexy. It is hard to pin down one thing. I can definitely say that when a man notices me for me.....my smarts, heart, and goofiness. Isn't trying to stare at my boobs, but looks me in the eye. And wants to know more about me. I feel totally sexy. Once I get to a place with a man where I know I can be open, vulnerable and feel safe.....I feel sexy and cherished. Attention in RL and on the threads is nice. But there is so much more to me then this!

Beyond the external, a guy who is a stand up guy is so sexy. someone who walks the talk. Who keeps his word and is reliable. That is so sexy. Externally, a nice smile gets me everytime. A nice smile with intense eye contact, I melt.

I do think sexy is more a state of mind than anything. I can be wearing the most unflattering thing, but still feel sexy; yet on the other hand I can be all dolled up and feel gross. For me it's more than just about how my hair looks or my butt looks. A certain look or comment from someone can make me feel sexy in an instant.

As for a man....of course I enjoy looking at a man's body. His stomach; the way it curves down into his pants.....but a man's mind is what really does it for me. I think wit and humor is very sexy. As well as a gesture....coming up behind me while I'm doing the dishes and moving my hair to the side to kiss my neck. Sliding his hands around the front of me and pulling me close. THAT is sexy. And it also makes me FEEL sexy.

So, for your definitions, sexy isn't instantanious. It takes time to feel and to be sexy. It takes a while to find another sexy?
