I know some of us love to play games as well as role play so what games do you like to play? (waits from the groans of non gamer to die down) share with us links to your games and if you want your user name or friendship codes.

I will start, I currently play the following -

Shaiya http://shaiya.aeriagames.com

Shayia is good v evil - dark v light, very similar to Dungeons and Dragons, World of Warcraft, Everquest...its an MMORPG and its free to play and seems to have a decent community although I have noticed not many people talk in game unless your partied with them.

My characters are on the Gaia server
Names: RayneClowd & SparrowSong

Wizard 101 http://www.wizard101.com

Now this is a game I play to purely have fun, its cute graphic wise and is a cross between dragon ball Z and harry potter...its one that even little kids could play again and MMORPG and is also free
Name: Brianna Summersong

If you play any of these and want to join up forces just send me a PM....so what does everyone else play?

Well, I don't play anything online, except of course on Lit.

But I do play some games on the PS3:

Sometimes I go to the Home Site on PS Home (think of it like the Sims or virtual chat)

Midnight Club (sometimes play others online)
Warhawk (strictly online for the ps3)
Lego Star Wars (lol)

Cool we are looking into getting a PS3 we currently have a Wii and an old Playstation 2 that just died.

I play alot on Pogo.com. Mostly the word games.

Wii - Cabela's Big Tropy Hunts(I think), Fit, Just Dance, Sports

I use to play http://pogo.com as well I had a club pogo account for awhile but have not done it for awhile I got so addicted to getting those damn badges and doing the weekly challenges.

I have a large fascination with older video games. My all time favorites are games like the original Lunar: The Silver Star, or Phantasy Star: End of the Millenium.

Ok I am a big game addict

I have played far too many MMO's, but never dedicated myself to any in particular, my favourite of course is Ragnarok. Just a wonderful game with all its variety and the gameplay involved :)

Other than those when I get the time I play Warcraft ( DOTA ) and AOE a lot, those strategy games do woo me :p

Just an update the chat filter in wizard 101 is extreme but it is so that the game is suitable for all the family to play...its a cute time waister and a little bit of fun but yes the filter doesn't even like the word "dislike" its a great game if you have young kids that like to play you can ask locations or ages or anything like that so very little risk of predators being able to interact dangerously with your kids.

Smeg-loads of games, for me, but the ones I really enjoy the most are Team Fortress 2 (even if I'm not all that good at it) and the Sam & Max series. It's a series of episodic games (meaning each episode has about eight hours of gameplay if you look around a lot, rather than just blowing through it), but each season has an over-arching plot and the comedy is incredible.

This scene from season 3 (which starts with Max developing psychic powers after finding what look like children's toys) is a good example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T27uOQU-GII

I was playing Blood Bowl for a while, but other games've pulled me away and I haven't gotten back to it. Might be worth playing it a bit as a refresher course since they're releasing a newer version later this year (or maybe sometime next year) with all of the races from the original tabletop game (there were 8 in the original game, a ninth added in a patch, but the new release'll have 20 different races). I'll probably trade the original game in to help pay for the new version since there's no need to hang onto it.

I play a lot, I guess. Though currently it's mostly Team Fortress 2. Also working on Tales of Vesperia. Over the last few months I've played and finished both Mass Effect titles, Final Fantasy XIII, Bayonetta, Grand Theft Auto IV, Saints Row 2 and Resonance of Fate.

I used to play Everquest, many years ago. Played WoW for a couple years as well. Kinda done with MMOs though. I'm only satisfied with them if I'm doing end-game content and it just became too much like a job.

I'm what you can call and old-timer hardcore gamer.

I loathe MMO's and in general any kind of game that takes me online. I grew up as a player when most games underwent several years of development to produce a good and enjoyable product, so I got hooked on the oldies and goldies.

Presently, I'm trying to finish Neverwinter Nights 1, with all expansions added.

I also have on my computer a copy of Sid Meyer's Alpha Centauri running, Freecol (a clone of the old Colonization - it's free to download and use! try it!), and FreeCiv (a clone of Civilization). Battle for Wesnoth sometimes gets to be used...

I also have other games collecting dust on the shelves: World of Warcraft 2, Starcraft 1, Diablo 1 & 2, The Punisher game... but my hardcore gamer times are long gone and well behind me.

I mainly play Modern Warfare 2 on the PS3

Other than that, lots of little games to pass the minutes ;o)

I get bored very easily :(

I'd call you a pretentious, delusional gamer if you somehow think online play is detrimental to a game by default or that development time equates to quality.

No offence taken.

No, I did not mean that. I have played several games that were/are classics that were made in record time. But I intend to say is that, in general, MMOG's leave behind an in-depth plot to put emphasis on graphics, items and other eye-candy, believing the interaction between players will make up for the lack of content.

This was the experience I had when I tried some MMOG. I was eager to try WoW when it was published, being a great fan of the series, but I was seriously disappointed. It felt it lacked the mystique the parent game had.

After that, I tried other games, but I was never able to overcome that first impression. Ence, I'm not an advocate for MMOG's.

I second that statement. Just look at how much development time went into FF13, and it's gameplay is designed for a game that's over long before you even get anywhere in FF13....

Anyways, Qyron, you need to try a different class then. Forget MMOs. Try the class started by PSO and PSU, the MOA (Multiplayer Online Adventure). They're much more fun-oriented. Most large group interactions take place in the lobbies, and most actual gameplay takes place in groups of four or less (Not sure about PSU's limit. Never went online with it)

I thank you for that recommendation, Dragon, but multi-player experience gaming is something I do not have an interest to further explore.

I'm satisfied with what I play daily.

Massive Multiplayer Online. Sometimes it will have a G, for game.

More specific genres can be identified, like MMO-RPG.

OOHHHHHHHHHHHH

Thank you so much Qyron!! I get it now....

go me!

Erhm....there is a couple of lobbies in which you can play a game of soccer....

why would I want to play a game of soccer?

I live in a country where that sport is the most popular of all (besides bad mouthing politicians, but is more of a hobby...) and I _hate_ the game. I'm incapable of understanding the purpose of having twenty two gorilla's chasing a ball, while 4 others try to keep the others off the each other...

I resume that sport to this simple phrase: its a sport of gentlemen played by peasants.

It's really something that you'd have to see to understand. It's more amusing because the ball, if it is left alone long enough, explodes.
