Franken put in Office by Felons

The felons who are the subject of the OP were a rather small group, and we can't tell who they voted for. However, the voters who were fraudulently registered by ACORN were mostly Dems, and those who got through the weeding-out process would vote for Dems. The Secretary of State is supposed to prevent this kind of fraud but, if you look at the link I posted, you'll see he is beholden to ACORN and used his position to help his party.

That's why I think the election was tainted - because of the fraud committed by ACORN with the help of their buddy in office.

You are probably right, but I hate to see voting fraud accepted so complacently, especially when the persons who accept it claim to have seen it before and railed against it then.

Amen to that. Might enjoy talking writing and publishing with either Box or Zeb, but they don't seem to get what this Web site is--no matter how many times they have been told they are shooting themselves in the feet over what they came to this Web site to do in the first place.

We don't know exactly what the instructions were, but we do know ACORN paid by piece work, and that they sent to the secretary of state, or equivalent office, anything that was brought back, even though many of them were obviously bogus. We don't know if they threw away those that had been prepared to register Reps but, knowing their general dishonesty and lack of ethics, it would be no surprise if they did.

Since this thread is about the election of Al Franken, I will stick to what happened in MN. The secretary of state there owes his position to work ACORN did on his behalf, and he showed himself earlier to be lacking in ethics. How many of the bogus registrations were approved? We don't know that, but I would be willing to bet the mortgage payment that several thousand, at least, were accepted, and that was enough to put the comedian over the top.

I will also concede that nothing can be done about it now, but it still bugs me.

I have no idea how many of the genuine-appearing forms were phony but got through the vetting process, but it is safe to assume that not all of them were caught.

We can also acccept the proven fact that some ACORN staffers are crooks, because they were videotaped being dishonest. I will concede that some of them are honest and idealistic, but I'm just referring to the others.

It has also been proven that the MN secretary of state, who is supposed to be the one supervising the vetting process is unethical and is beholden to ACORN for helping him get elected. These are facts that were proven in the links I posted earlier.

By the way, I have said many times that I consider all pols to be crooks. I think the Dems are generally more crooked than the Reps, but it's a matter of individuals Some Reps are probably more dishonest than some Dems, but the latter probably have more opportunities because of the big city machines. I don't know an actual person named Mickey Mouse, but there could be a surname "Mouse" and somebody whose parents named him "Mickey." I don't know him, but there could be such a person. However, the registration form I referred to with Mickey Mouse's name on it was one that was caught. I don't know how many with names like William Brown and Mary Jones were not caught. Those are examples of names that could have been used by those who who registering fraudulently. ACORN would not have questioned them, nor would the crooked secretary of state in MN.

I'm not going to do it, but I believe it would be fairly simple to register multiple times at different addresses, thereby being assigned that many voting places. I doubt the ACORN employees asked for proof if ID when they registered people. As for the addresses, if they ask, just tell the poll workers you have moved and the ID has your old address.
