runescape? :3
I know it's a longshot, but I've recently gotten back into it and would like to know .

I tried it didn't catch my attention, but as nerdy would someone that plays final fantasy, transformers war of cybertron, borderlands, and world of warcraft be nerdy enough for you

wow, haven't thought about that game in years...do many peeps still get on and play?

that makes me want to get back in! love a good throwback....i have the load music running in an open tab now, ahhhhh misthalin....as magical as ever

haha. What an awesome game. Played it loads. Then i got banned for a period of time for breakin the rules somehow. Didn't get back into it after that. I was 23when i was playin runescape

Oh man, do I remember Runescape. I had some fond memories playing the free version as a teenager. Then I remember that the reason I quit was because leveling up your skills requires more hours than a full time job. :p

Runescape works better as an experiment in human psychology than a game. Unlike other MMORPGs, Runescape really has no depth at all (the free version anyway, I've never played the members game to know how much depth it adds). Since there's barely any quests, the vast majority of your time is spent doing repetitive tasks like clicking on rocks for ore or clicking on trees for wood. The first levels come quickly, but soon it takes hours and hours to get anywhere, and people continue clicking because they've been "built up" to endure it. Jagex has us as rats running a treadmill that ultimately leads nowhere. Think about it.

That's why I bot sweetie ;).
Turn on the bot to do the repetitive tasks, and do the fun quests yourself.

And, yes, I am a member.

If you want a game that's a true social experiment for that "rat in a cage feel" try "A Tale in the Desert".

I think Tale IV is ending and the Tale V beta is in progress or just went live. There is no combat like in most mmorpgs, it is set up so that you advance by doing crafting, puzzle solving, political maneuverings, and socializing. Based on ancient Egyptian mythos and culture it requires a lot of community involvement and interaction.
