sadly, this has been a MAJOR blow to our campaign hopes
the socceroos will be more than a little dejected after losing such an important middleman (cahill), and given that we have the oldest team in the cup, it's going to be harder than ever for them to stay competitive.
as you can probably tell, i'm a bit shattered![]()
Us too, in both meanings - dejected, and tired! set the alarm, settled in with a hot coffee and a bright yellow scarf (wallabies scarf, closest I could get at short notice, what the hell it was warm!) and settled in at 4am to watch the game.
Shuffled off back to bed feeling low and needing a cuddle as the sky lightened - then missed the alarm for the real morning and was late for a family function
we wuz robbed - and outclassed on the night.
i think the high point of the night was when I turned off the tube - and that damned buzzing of the trumpets fell mercifully silent, so i could hear the birds start singing in the trees!!
