sadly, this has been a MAJOR blow to our campaign hopes :(
the socceroos will be more than a little dejected after losing such an important middleman (cahill), and given that we have the oldest team in the cup, it's going to be harder than ever for them to stay competitive.

as you can probably tell, i'm a bit shattered :(

Us too, in both meanings - dejected, and tired! set the alarm, settled in with a hot coffee and a bright yellow scarf (wallabies scarf, closest I could get at short notice, what the hell it was warm!) and settled in at 4am to watch the game.
Shuffled off back to bed feeling low and needing a cuddle as the sky lightened - then missed the alarm for the real morning and was late for a family function

we wuz robbed - and outclassed on the night.

i think the high point of the night was when I turned off the tube - and that damned buzzing of the trumpets fell mercifully silent, so i could hear the birds start singing in the trees!! :)

Howdy all. Another long absence from Lit for me.

How is everyone?

Without speaking for everyone else, I'm OK! You'll have to stay for a LONG read back in the archives to check on the others.
(Is it too obvious its been a while since I linked up, and I'm responding from too far back? lol)

NZ v Slovakia - no score in the first half.
Better than the Aussies....;) :D

Well - NZ 1 Slovakia 1
Didn't watch the game but heard the result this morning.

Kiwis expect nothing and when it goes right it's a pleasant surprise.
In my experience (not trying to stir anything up here but it's just my impression) Australia expects to be good at everything (well according to the media hype anyway) and when it goes pear shaped there's a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth ;)

I think I've worked it out-I can't think of too many people with shoes like that!

will sent you a pm and tell you there so you will be sure

anyway i done no exercise today what i was planing done nothing i was feeling sick spend most of the day on the couch laying down watching TV ..saw lots of tv series ....time went faster this way and i feel a little better now

*hugs* hope you do feel better AB

one day of no exercise wont kill you, just make sure you get back on the bandwagon tomorrow

feeling a little sick then my face and some of my body is almost full of pimples ... i had some chocolate on the weekend usually am ok most times but there are time it affect me that's another reason i don't eat chocolate often

anyway enough about bad thing how are you today gema

depends what you class a huge?
32 for a year 9 English class is ridiculous.

These student free days - teachers don't just sit around and do nothing. We have professional development. Our school has an Asian literacy focus - so we worked on putting that in more into the curriculum (2 hours)- how to Podcast (2 hours)- added more IT skills to our repertoire (1 hour) (as next term all year 9s and 10s are receiving a laptop care of Mr Rudd and 1:1 learning) Looked out how to build in the Australian Curriculum into the current school layout and provided feedback on the draft on the national year 11 and 12 curriculum currently under review for processing. (the rest of the day)

All in all - there from 8 - 5 hardly a moment free time. I'd much rather have the kids at school and be in normal class and not have to worry about the extra crap teachers are meant to fit in on free days and in their own time - weeknights and wknd.

Sorry RANT OVER. It was a shit day and a waste of time! I'd rather have been teaching.

Hope everyone else has had a good day - mine was a waste of time. But now out to dinner with a friend for her birthday.

x

My post wasn't aimed at teachers today just wondering how the teachersw of my era managed without these student free days, nothing more.

just got home from the hospital - number1son breezed through his op.
i think he's feeling a little nauseous from the iron infusions though.... but he'll never admit it!
it has been a loooooooooooooong day.
food, some mindless tv, and bed for me - tomorrow will be just as long (with HIM coming home, i'm unlikely to get even one hr sleep!)

I've had several of those iron infusion sessions & although not great after I was OK & got told I breezed through it because some really suffer with it so glad #1son is doing OK.

Maybe you should have had an iron infusion too seeing the next month with have high energy demands, enjoy.:D

that's great!
you'll be totally pre-occupied being a mum again - and it's a good way to be.
a shame it's only for a few weeks, but i know you will make the most of it

Anyone who knows BANDIT:heart: will know she has her worry hat on with sleeping, things to do etc for her daughters visit & today we are going out to check on fares & places to stay in Surfers, I'm in hope of staying at the same place we did last time, it was handy to all we needed, we also will be looking for double bunks for the spare bedroom / storeroom for all the Dialysis equipment which takes up a lot of space. NO WORRIES!

I finished my Graduate Diploma of Education in 2009 but my VIT has been held up. So I'm unemployed even though it should be easy to find at least CRT positions in town.

And I agree, it's a bit to close to home to do teacher-student RP anymore.

And I was totally surprised at how full on and strenuous a standard teaching day is, having to have five classes planned out, with the possibility of an extra, or doing detention. You may get holidays, but even most of those would be working, and the work during the semester is like a 10 hour day.

As I posted above that it was only wondering how the teachers in my day coped with the work load. One of my classes was so big we were lucky that there was an opening dividing wall between to of the class rooms that had to be opened to fit us all in, we actually took up a room & a half, techers came to us instead of us changing rooms for classes.

I can do half an hour on the treadmill but because i went cycling also i thought i stop with 20 minutes also i did 3 times of 12rep of push-ups not happy i didn't do more stuff.. wanted some weights for the arms but i was tired
i had the treadmill up to 6 and after 10 minutes had it also uphill to level 3...

like you said it is a good start but my problem is i give up :D
no cycling tomorrow just treadmill and i will add some chest and arms workout and some squats maybe will use some dumbbell while doing this .. sound a lot but i will do one hour only for all this ..

where I am located? do you know who i am? i change the name here so if you know ...then you know where .. :D

You doing well A.Beauty as trying to do to much to quick is what kills most people from any training & you look great anyway & your efforts will only improve things for you.

BANDIT:heart: who has been so anti SOCCER world cup because of all the media BS has cheered up with telling me "What does NZ have that the Aussies don't?" & answer was "A goal in the World Cup!" followed with laughter.

I still don't give a damn.

Naturally the KIWIS are nothing like that at all  well how about when the All Blacks get beaten there is national mourning, wrist slashings, depression & sulking but that is different isn't it?

Love you my Woner Woman

Nothing exciting like a netball skirt. LOL

AB it doesn't sound like "pimples" to me it sounds like an allergy (hives), maybe go to the chemist and get antihistamine pills (claratyne, telfast) that will help with the itching.

Are you thinking of the letter V for here or S for real life?;)
Yes I was-not hard when I thought about it.
You doing well A.Beauty as trying to do to much to quick is what kills most people from any training & you look great anyway & your efforts will only improve things for you.

Excellent advice here AB. Slow and steady does it. Going too far and too hard too early causes injuries-trust me I know!
Besides-you're already one of the sexiest looking women I know!

So apparently I now sell Avon products. I never thought I would considering I wouldn't spend the money they are asking on the products they sell.

I will have to be smart.

Anyone interested in buying some, lol.
