How can either party, as a party, "lose" a primary?
Not familiar with the word "incumbent"?

So if a mainstream Republican incumbent is beaten for the nomination by a Tea Party insurgent, the GOP has "lost"? In November, probably, but lost now?
Moooooove them goalposts! Miles was talking about parties, not incumbents.
Have any incumbents besides the corrupt Repub Nevada Governor (he shouldn't count, btw) lost?
Without getting into whether Miles was making sense or not, at the time the question re "parties losing" was asked, the context of the thread was "Democratic incumbents", so, no goalposts were moved in the making of this thread.
Don't ever associate me with making sense. EVER.
Here is your Republican nominee from Nevada, Sharron Angle.

the dull, unfocused eyes, unkempt hair and permanently open mouth just screams "tea party"
