If Democrat incumbents lose today, their party will declare victory

So if a mainstream Republican incumbent is beaten for the nomination by a Tea Party insurgent, the GOP has "lost"? In November, probably, but lost now?

How can either party, as a party, "lose" a primary?

"Anti-incumbent fever" seems to have broken, Tea Party lost to business-as-usual Republican in NJ, Blanche Lincoln won her primary, too. Tea Party nutbag beat that Chicken Bartering Republican so she will face Harry Reid in November.

Don't mind Miles, he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Oreo, when you were growing up did other kids beat the shit out of you?

Moooooove them goalposts! Miles was talking about parties, not incumbents.

Have any incumbents besides the corrupt Repub Nevada Governor (he shouldn't count, btw) lost?

Without getting into whether Miles was making sense or not, at the time the question re "parties losing" was asked, the context of the thread was "Democratic incumbents", so, no goalposts were moved in the making of this thread.

Don't ever associate me with making sense. EVER.
