Paint a Rosy Picture

Control the medium, and you control the message.

The casual community has learned this lesson well.

By ensuring they are in positions of control: site owners, group owners, moderators, etc they are in a position to ensure only the message they want others to hear will be heard, and no other.

From this position they can make any claim, and as they have the authority to control what is heard, dissent is never heard.

And anyone who doesn't get with the program can be made an example of for others.

Do you think I have any idea what you are talking about? Really, do you?

I don't. I don't know what your essay is, I don't know what "casual bdsm" is, I don't know who you are, I don't know where you came from, I know nothing about you, I have read virtually nothing you've posted, I'm not a moderator for the BDSM section, and I really do not give a shit about you. I just like posting cats.

So stop flattering yourself, and get a clue.

A year ago, maybe more, I read through a collection of the more intelligent, in-depth BDSM essays on this site. Only one of them stuck with me. It included a comparison of the two types of people in this world, the dog-eat-dog variety who take what they want because they don't believe anyone else will look out for them, and caregivers. The latter being the type who look to bring more positive into the world and trust that the favor will be returned. I've thought about the issue a lot since then, even more in the past few months, and its context in a healthy give/take relationship. So much so, that I came back and read every single essay on literotica that may have been the one I was searching for. I even created this silly screen name. I've spent most of the day on my laptop thinking that it was probably just on the next page, and I've come up short.

As a last resort I came to search out the forums and discovered a post by CutieMouse mentioning one of your compositions. Given your familiar name, your recent burned book post and the title "Casual BDSM and Emotional Abuse", I believe I may have finally found it. If it was yours, please tell me that these guys haven't convinced you to delete the entire essay out of existence and/or that you're not willing to send me a copy. Thank you!

the big problem, as far as I can see it, is not so much your ideas are unpalatable, more that they are actually boring to read. you aren't really saying anything that is new and what you do say is written in such a dull and turgid way, that it would be difficult for anyone other than one of your alts to even suggest that they have any interest or relevance.

I'm sure there are some decent people there, just as there are decent people on the GB. Doesn't mean I wish weed through others to find them.

And you're not odd in a bad way.
