Hi I would like to submit my application fo geekdom, I have watched star trke from a young age having followed every series and movie apart from the trash passed off as enterprise. I started collecting comics at 12 (now fast approaching 27). I war game with games-workshop themed minatures and have done for 11 years and read novels of the background. Oh and I love the gundam anime series. Well that and other 80's cartoon series.
Sorry that was a bit long winded. I just read the entire thread so 2 years worth of posts /sigh. I have to say I am looking forward to iron man 2. Not so much to matt smith's doctor. And can I say dahlia you have a very attractive av.
Chris

Don't know who amoung our number are British but for those that aren't or have been asleep, the new doctor who series starts Saturday, certain details have been leaked, and information was also gleaned from interviews, there is a new sonic screwdriver it's got a green light. Vampires appear in episode 6. Daleks return, and so do the cybermen. An episode is Set in WWII. (just a rant but it started in 1939not 41) new tardis interior will be larger. And assistant is met at a young age then the doctor comes back for her.
Also i saw kick-ass on Saturday very funny, good performances from all ecept Nicholas cage, but he's like hugh grant, he can only play himself in movies.
Now I just need iron man 2 and for dark reign to finish =]
Well tbh you don't have to watch any, each episode goes - enter interesting location introduce the place something happens or someone dies, title music, doctor discovers bad guy, science bit, doctor and assistant get in trouble, doctor or assistant or both save the world, end credits. Sorry just ruined most sci-fi lol =]

Actually that formula works pretty well for most fantasy as well, and pretty much all High Fantasy. Just change the science bit with a magic bit and you've got it. Although, magic and science are basically one in the same.

Evening roomies. Anyone else caught 'Clash of the Titans'?

I'm looking forward to Clash, but I have also heard iffy reviews of the 3D version.... hmmm....
Will still be awesome to hear Liam Neeson say, 'Release the Kraken!"![]()
