Obama is a gift from God.
He will correct over two-hundred years of waste and abuse, and set us on the right path.
Being a young man, I hope he can bring the blessings of his vision not just to all of the U.S. but to the entire world as well. Where would we be without this giant among men?
"Why are you here?"
"To get some money."
"What kind of money?"
"Obama money."
"Where's it coming from?
"Obama."
"And where did Obama get it?"
"I don't know... his stash, I don't know. I don't know where he got it from, but he's givin' it t'us to help us. We love him. That's why we voted for him... Obama! Obama!"

That's why we don't give a shit.
You have a President now who thinks just like you do and as fast as he was on the cops for being stupid in Cambridge, he's all over himself in the excitement of sending as much money, aid, and Marines as he can possibly get his hands on and all of us who don't give a shit are the ones paying for it, for that is Obama's idea of charity; a Robin'-da-Hood mentality.
It's the Progressive Ideal when it comes to morality...
If you got it, it's our moral obligation to take it from you and give it to someone else who "needs" it... Does that sound familiar to anyone? It's pretty much the way Haiti has been run for years, they just have a different idea of who needs it, just like the Party used to have in the Soviet Union as pointed out by Rand in "We the Living."

Point out the racism...
Double-Dawg dare!
would your attitude be the same if the other team were in power and sending aid?
I am not sure. Why don't you all step up and show us what it feels like?
would your attitude be the same if the other team were in power and sending aid?
Sorry, this was directed to AJ. Do you share his opinions, both on the political front and the humanitarian one of this disaster?
As for your post, I'm not entirely certain what you mean. could you please clarify?
are you telling me, in all seriousness, and quite apart from any money involved, that the plight of these people doesn't touch your humanity at all?
would your attitude be the same if the other team were in power and sending aid?
Fuck AJ. I am the brains in this operation.
Possibly I misunderstood your question. Who is the other team?

Don't care.
It's HAITI.
Let the UN fix it and prove it can unfuck SOMETHING, ANYTHING, just one little thing to restore their credibility...
Should we jump in and fix Haiti?
When we did that before 90% of the bleedin' fawkin' hearts said, "It's up to THOSE people to get rid of Saddam..."
"It's up to the Iranians to get rid of the Mullahs..."
It was up to Haiti to unfuck themselves and they've been living quietly in tyranny and squalor for years now without a word boo from the "caring" of the world, but now, suddenly, there's an earthquake and they're sitting up and taking notice! "Oh we have to help those poor people! It's on TV!"
I see alligator tears. It "touches my humanity," yes, but I won't let it over-ride my common-fucking sense as we rush in to help them short-term and then, having the collective attention-span of an MTV video, we'll go back to ignoring the REAL HUMAN TRAGEDY, another centrally-controlled, all-powerful state run by the elites of the state for their own selfish benefit...
The US is far from not wanting to help.I wasn't asking America to 'jump in and save Haiti' in the terms you're speaking of. We are talking about sending some vital supplies - water, blankets, food, shelter, skilled technicians, paramedics etc - to help fellow humans in their time of need.
that's not bleeding hearts and crocodile tears. that's common humanity.
as for their political situation, I know very very little about it and am powerless to do anything on that front. but, as people, we can respond to others in need - i don't see how anyone can call themselves human and turn their backs. the political stuff is up to those who understand and are able to make a difference to do anything about it. we can only do what we can do. but to not even want to help? that is inhuman.
Yeah, it means "kinda prejudiced" any more...
Am I blasting this "team" for sending aid?
I just said, I really don't give a fuck BECAUSE NOTHING'S REALLY CHANGED other then the TV cameras being focused on the island. Where were they last fucking week?
On Sarah Palin? Health care? Tea-baggers...?
Does this scream, "OBAMA CAN'T SEND ANY AID BECAUSE HE'S ON THE WRONG TEAM?"

Doesn't even mean that anymore.

I didn't say the US - I know america, britain, and man many more countries will and are sending aid. It's what we do, because most humans want to help others in their time of need. I'm talking about AJ, and any other individuals here who've made statements about not giving a shit. The concept is so alien to me I have to ask about it. As I said before, money and everything else aside - does it not touch you, as an individual, that these people are suffering an appalling crisis due to an earthquake? The US is far from not wanting to help.

You don't have to. I just wanted to be quite clear in my own head as to whether or not you really meant what you said, though moments ago you were saying it did touch you on a huanitarian basis. unless i've misread. I'll go check. We were going to send aid, no matter what.
Why do I have to care NOW?
They've been miserable for a long fucking time now without the world giving much of a shit...
ah, there it is.....
