I wasn't asking America to 'jump in and save Haiti' in the terms you're speaking of. We are talking about sending some vital supplies - water, blankets, food, shelter, skilled technicians, paramedics etc - to help fellow humans in their time of need.
that's not bleeding hearts and crocodile tears. that's common humanity.
as for their political situation, I know very very little about it and am powerless to do anything on that front. but, as people, we can respond to others in need - i don't see how anyone can call themselves human and turn their backs. the political stuff is up to those who understand and are able to make a difference to do anything about it. we can only do what we can do. but to not even want to help? that is inhuman.
So anyone who doesn't think like you is SUBHUMAN???
