You realize that this is the same man who was friends with Rev. Jerry Falwell, right? The same man who sat there as Falwell said "pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way..." were the one's who "helped" the terrorist attacks on 9/11 happen.
Personally, I was asleep at the time and have an alibi should they wish it.

I like to think of people like that being shriveled, bereft and suffering in this lifetime - I mean, fuck I would HATE to actually BE Dick Cheney. But Robertson seems so happy in his repulsiveness, you almost need to believe in hell for him.

This is the same guy, BTW who was heavily involved with Charles Taylor's blood diamond program, which filtered money to al-qaeda, frequently.

I know all that, only too well. The real killer is the small army that sends in money to keep this going. He says that they made a pack with the devil but he is willing to take donations to pretend that he is doing something for hoards of desperate people. He ends that crap with his 800 donation number!

And when one of these pieces of merde retires, another just steps into his place. Preying for God.

The really traumatic part for me is that I have been spending time with some truly wonderful people -- people far more generous than most could ever imagine. People so nice that they literally took my breath away. And not a one of them believes in God.

And then I am confronted with something that is so unspeakable. I suppose that those who live on this level have no conception that life could ever be different.

And this is about "Haitians" --"the worst kind of people." How many Haitians do you know to pass sentence?

I know plenty. Angels and Devils just like all other people. Most people --damn just want a decent life for the family and a better tomorrow for the kids. I know that we can't take in all the desperate people in the world. All the most reason to do what we can to make their lives better.

I've said it here before and I will say it again: Tiny Denmark, with a population of 5.5 million, gives more foreign aid than we do. If we devoted 1% of our military budget to helping the needy, we wouldn't need to be fighting wars all over the world. We are going to spend more money in Afghanistan in the next year than the rest of the world spends on all its military.

The USSR tried that; it didn't work. Bad things are going to happen very soon. My brother --a scientist (no farther quantification, to avoid "outing") said: When a group of illiterates can build a $2.35 road-side bomb that we take out with a $500,000.00 Predator drone and a $60,000 Hellfire missile, we have already lost.
