I have done it once or twice. Like many things, I think it's a case of being in the right mindset. I am the sort of person who always goes after what I want, and 98 % of the time, I get it.

So when I went out "on a mission" I think it was a combination of confidence and giving off a certain vibe.


Of course, wearing certain clothes, drinking certain drinks, and being open to new things helps too.

Setting myself up for a one night stand was not really all that much different to being willing to be picked up. As a guy, when we go out looking for a one-nighter, we -or maybe I- look around the bar like a lion at a watering hole; we're looking for the depressed gazelle that just needs to be told how special she is. We're culling the herd, as it were. We don't need much of a reason to seek a one-nighter.
