Happy Christmas and Channukah, Chipbutty and everyone else who writes poems like it's their job to write poems. There's nothing like Christmas Eve fun. I really hope I've been a good boy this year and get the one thing I asked for...

Yo happy Christmas to all! I'll be playing Black Sabbath's "Nativity In Black" tonight in honor of the awesomeness that is secular Christmas.

Happy Holidays!

Hugo and I got ourselves a new mattress for Christmas, which were peacefully sleeping on this morning. Of course my girls were up before sunrise and ready to rip open presents. lol So we had to leave the bed and start prying toys loose from their packages. Anyone with kids hate getting toys out of the package? My god, the manufacturers really bolt those things in!

ha, mostly past that in this household but I remember it well! plastic-wrapped wire ties holding axles/cables/limbs in place and needing to find THE right screwdriver to fit the tiny screws holding the toy to the pacaging, then another to loosen the battery cover ... oh, so much fun

new mattress? what a great pressie. bet it FEELS like Christmas :D

The turkey is cooking the veg are prepared the sausage rolls are cooked and the trifle awaits it's cream topping (do you guys have trifle over there?) I am shattered already and although we are still ankle deep in snow it doesn't count as a white christmas because so many inches of the stuff have to fall on the weather centre roof or something like that! so Happy Christmas to one and all ....... I love you guys xxxxxxx

Merry Christmas! We've opened our gifts for each other and called the kids. I just started cooking a standing rib roast for later. eagleyez's oldest son is coming over soon and we'll chill and eat and eat and eat...

Thanks for the wishes Chip. :rose:

I wish you all Happy Holidays and hope there was lots of muse under those trees.

In a few years you'll wish all your kids want are the toys bolted to cardboard and plastic. They eventually move on to things like Ipods and cell phones, blackberries and cars. Cars! And I do not mean Hotwheels.

Merry Christmas, Chipbutty!

We had a lovely time here, I hope you're enjoying your holiday.

Heyyy, Reci! Glad to hear you and your family have had a great day. We've had a totally lazy, different kind of Christmas to usual. Not sure I'd do it this way again but it's had its novelty value :D

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
Off work (for the rest of the year) and didn't even turn on my computer on either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day!

I hope Santa's been keeping a good check on you too :D

enjoy :rose:

she even wore a bow! Besides for getting exactly what I wanted, I got a little ezra pound bonus. Wife material = someone who gets me an obscure poem book without me asking.

Anyone get any poems books?

well done, that man!
on a normal Christmas, I'd have been in the same boat - no time for it. But yesterday was my first laziest ever Christmas and it was ggrrrreat!

You were spoiled :D How delightful! And thoughtful. *nods* She sounds like a diamond, spoil her in return :)

No one got me one except me - Poem for the Day with a foreword by Wendy Cope, published by Chatto and Windus, London. Only a large paperback, but it has 366 poems old and new, including works by Shakespeare, John Donne, Whitman, Wordsworth, e.e.cummings, Beam, Houseman, Stevens, Shelly, Byron, Blake and so many more

I'm a nerd, I got Critique of Pure Reason and Critique of Practical Reason from my sexy wife. I'll try your tactics next year, lock down that Christmastime Shakespearean Joy.

I got a couple of books on math & crimesolving, ala TV Numb3rs behind the scene stuff
(also a position a day calendar ;) but too old for that and for some of them:()
