I've been sitting her at my desk for the past hour or so writing out Christmas Cards. My wife has been shaking her head every time she walks past and sees me but I don't mind. Not many people still use Fountain Pens but I do.

Dark Blue Ink and a bit of super fine sand to blot the extra.

My mother would be proud I still remember my penmenship. Cards written in Cursive and clearly legible. It's actually nice to look at them, almost like they are pieces of art.

Okay so I'm old fashioned but I do enjoy it.

I love snail mail myself.

It is such a gift to recieve a letter or card from someone in the mail.

:)

I maintain legible cursive b still practicing with my micro-tipped ballpoints. When I have the money for decent fountain pens, I'll think I'll take up that opportunity to get my hand back in better shape and maybe do some calligraphy once more.

I agree Serene. It means they took more time to do something for you. I'm still practicing Calligraphy and want to write something to frame. Somethings will never fall from use.

Nothing improves ones hand writing like a fountain pen. The act of drawing a liquid ink line is sensuous and slow, much like drawing warm fingers over a lover's body. If ball points were banned, civilization would be improved.

When I went to elementary school, many years ago, ballpoints were forbidden. And I didn't care...just loved that sensuous flow of black ink over white paper. Still do, and I have five different ones I use, each for different moods and aims. They don't work so well on multiple copy forms, though...

And, VM, there's also pleasure in writing dirctly on a lover's skin, to see the ink flow, incribing your words, your feelings, directly on her. Nice also with a Japanese brush, ink block, and warm water...

Just stings a little dotting the "I"'s and crossing the "T"'s using a pen Tio. I'm still a kid at heart and enjoy fingerpainting my lover's body.
