Questions about possible SUB FRENZY.

I was told by someone I consider a good friend that he thinks I am going through Sub Frenzy. I have been enjoying my new experiences and look forward to upcoming events.

I guess he said this because I am hoping to go to a munch in another area, next weekend, since it is holiday weekend and have time off from work. The group I belong to is great but a small group. I just want to explore a larger group and see what they have to offer versus what my small time local munch offers.

Any suggestion? I am not collared or protected but I am not stupid either. I have met one of the organizers of this munch when he visited ours. So it is not like I will go into this blind.

Thank you, in my small area, we are very sub heavy, not a lot of Doms. I do have a couple that will play at the parties but no relationship possibilities. Plus I also want to explore more. I am sensible enough to realize to be careful, but what harm is there to explore other possibilities.

This sounds like silliness or incomplete info to me.

The fact that you want to check out a munch implies no frenzy.

If you wanted to go there and had absurd expectations or something, that might be another story.

Well, that could be the case, but he is in a relationship and also lives 6 hours away from me. We had entertained the thought at one time, and maybe he still does. This was before I realized he was lifestyle, and I was just exploring online at the time. I am just going to ignore his comment, and go do things like I planned. He has the option to play anytime he wishes as large major city has all kinds of options, and I live in "little Hicktown" where options are extremely limited.
Heck big choices, Dom lives more that 400 miles away and says Sub-Frenzy...or local Dom, with his collar living 1600 miles away, wants to play so to that his skills improve.....HELLO no wonder why I wish to meet others.....

I always thought sub frenzy referred to jumping too soon, too eagerly into things that could get you hurt, be it physically or mentally... as in, being over excited and not making great decisions.

I don't just do quick, I research things almost to death, so you are right about making better decisions. That is another reason I wish to go to other munches that are within a few hours drive. See other oppurtunities, and meet other like minded people. This does not mean I will play. Before I will play with anyone, I would have someone who knows me there for safety...

I'm in NYC and people travel from all the neighboring states (NJ, PA, CT, and sometimes from even further) to come to munches and events here because there aren't any where they are. Doesn't sound to me like you are doing anything unusual.

Well, I have decided, I am going. I need to expand my horizons, and I don't think going to a munch will be an issue. There is an open play party after, but I only play with those I know. I just wish to see what else is available within a few hours of driving.
