“House Science and Technology Committee yesterday approved legislation to establish a social and behavioral sciences research program at the Energy Department….

We don’t need to spend $10 million to understand why people make the energy decisions that they do. That is simple. Free people are rational and they want reliable energy at an affordable price.

What requires studying (and we might even support this as a federal expenditure) is why politicians are so keen to force expensive, unproven energy technologies – making Americans pay doubly – for more energy subsidies and for pricier electricity.

We know the answer to that, too. It’s this green movement that’s going on in Washington. But on Capitol Hill, it takes a different meaning. It’s green, as in cash.

This 'behavior' is what they use to train dogs to sniff for drugs and dolphins to become 'suicide terrorists' by strapping on a bomb and detonating it near an enemy.

Pavlovian in nature, it is the psychology known as, 'behaviorism', a kind of psychological war against the general public.

Our government wishes to 'train' people to respond to the 'right' energy sources, be rewarded if they choose right and punished if they choose otherwise.

If you follow the link you will see references to other, HR3200 series legislation, all intended to create a more 'docile' population, eager to serve their masters.

Ain't it wunnerful!?

Amicus...always curious...(lay down, I think I love you....!)

One can sigh, TE, and then bemoan the fact that it probably will work. I mean if you dangle $4500, apparently 487,000 Americans bought cars for clunkers, and, the housing market nudged upwards as $8,000 is offered first time buyers; all courtesy of your taxes, of course.

Although it has been publicized that those 'twisty' new light bulbs, contain hazardous materials, so toxic that garbage dumps will not accept them, the Government is still touting them as 'energy savers', to be utilized when possible and by mandate in all Federal or State monies provided for construction or remodelling.

Amazing!

This was another 'gift' to the UAW for getting out the vote. More people bought foreign cars tho. Hehehe.

People are so short sighted...or damn near myopic...that they don't realize they're being given their own money back to buy some toy car that can be pulverized by 3/4 of what's already on the road. Not only that, all those 'clunkers' were perfectly good vehicles that could have been resold elsewhere for a nice profit.

Even the junkyards don't want the 'clunkers' because the engines are purposely ruined and selling the parts is how they make their money.

Ain't the government the greatest thing evah?

Looking at the quality of decision making in Washington says a lot about the intelligence of the American voter, doesn't it?

It's been over sixty years since WWII. They are not going to be allowed to start another war. We are sick and tired of their constant need to go batshit insane at the expense of every other culture on the planet.

the majority of the american public has an IQ lower than the number of the teeth in their mouth devided by the number of fingers on thier hands.
but they multiply faster than rabbits.

so when are we going to vote for human population control?

It tells me, more than anything, that your legaislative body is probably too big. The stupidity of a crowd is relative to it's size.

It's like over here. Our European Parlament is even bigger than your Congress. Nothing happens there other than theatre. The action is in the much smaller Comission. Whish is a handful of people. (And blatantly undemocratic. Dammit.)
