Just have to brag....

Okay, it's not actually a brag but more that I want to share with y'all a recent upswing in my life. Specifically my sex life. :)

I've made no secret of being on anti-depressants for the last two plus years. They worked, made me not hate myself and my life, helped me get functional and happy and lots of other good things. But my sex drive was greatly reduced and so was my ability to orgasm. I know I was lucky- I still did want sex and could enjoy it, and that's more than some can say while they're on meds. But the difference in my medicated sex life and my previous one was pronounced and it bugged me some. Okay, alot, but not all the time.
Mostly I got used to it.

So, about a month ago my dr and I decided I should switch meds. It's been a not fun transition from one to the other, but atm I think I really like the new med. It has its downsides (hard to fall asleep at night) but many more upsides, so I'm going to stick with this one and see how it goes.
And here's where the bragging comes in: my libido is through the roof. I want sex often (i.e. at least once a day), and I'm coming pretty much everytime my SO and I engage in any kind of sexual activity. And god, I feel really fucking good. :D

So here's to me- losing count of her orgasms while this lasts!

Oh and hi everyone. I've missed you.

Hey! Hey! Hey! Good on you, Sophia. Nothing like a heart stopping, spine wrenching, toe curling orgasm to make one feel on top of the world. :D

Orgasms are grossly over-rated. Give me a decent chili dog. Old age has released me from orgasm prison.

Or put in a call to a chiropractor. :p

Good for you, Sophia.

Reply to "Seedbed"

Voluptuary,

I read your seedbed short story and it was great, it was imaginative and sexy, I want to read more, and I will.

Thanks for the heat.

Well congrats. Thee is nothing quite as good for the psychological well being as an active libido. A good sex life is one of the few things that can help make a sick person feel good about themselves.

Also a good sex life is incredible in it's healing powers.

A mind bending toe curling scream inducing gut curling orgasm can make the world just seem right no matter what else is going on.

I don't know if you mean this sincerely, or not. But...I can say that I don't mean my post to sound like I'm orgasm obsessed because I'm not. I did, and continue to, enjoy sex for the pleasure of the whole act, not just the climax. But in recent weeks I'm wanting the whole act more, enjoying it more, and climaxing more often and better. So all the way around, it's been a great improvement.

Welcome back SJ :rose::heart::kiss:

And that's great news.

Hey friend.

Yes, I very much agree with this. :D

Hey friend.

I was a horn dog for much of my life, always hot for some action. And now I know there is a lot more to life than being horny all the time. Reading your post I thought SHE HAS THE MONKEY ON HER BACK, EGADS.

Lol. I see what you mean, but nope. I'm enjoying sex more but my life doesn't revolve around it. :)

Yay for orgasms! :nana:

The world needs more orgasms. So sayeth Imp. In fact, I'll go so far as to assert that the denial and/or lack of orgasms is the source of the majority of the world's ills -- both on a global and an individual scale.

There is not a better, cheaper, more readily available drug for bliss on the planet.

P.S. Hi, SJ. Good to see you. Glad you're feeling well. :)

There's nothing like an orgasm
To take you to another place
No worries, cares or troubles
And oh what a smile on your face!

welcome back Sophia!

I notice that the name of the Med was not mentioned.
Pity. . . . .

Well, I didn't want to go into the whole it worked for me, or it was an awful med for me and made my life miserable which so often happens when anti-depressants are brought up. They're so subjective, really. But, I suppose with that caution I can say that I was switched from celexa (which helped but made me pretty much asleep at the wheel, esp in last months) to wellbutrin (which as I said has its downsides).

And yes, Imp I agree. :) It's interesting- I laugh more lately, too. I wonder if it's connected or if it's just coincidence. It's also been fun for me because instead of only being able to orgasm through very limited circumstances, I'm now coming in various positions/from various kinds of stimulations. Woohoo for variety!

I think laughter is totally connected. The ability to see the humor in something is enhanced by other positives, and then laughter in turn makes you feel better overall. It is a self-feeding positive cycle.

Congrats on both - feeling good and the big O! May both bring more sunny days to your life. :)

PS - Tell your doctor about this. Maybe, a combination of chemicals can be found to make a female viagra. :D

The day will come when a good cheeseburger and frosty rootbeer will kick sex's ass. And you'll wonder where in hell your mind went after you turned 13.

Dont get me wrong, I swell up with more than pride when I gaze upon a tasty morsel with a precocious bosom and bottom, but the appreciation is more like what I feel with good music or great art or a lovely sunset. I appreciate it and go get a cheeseburger.

It exists. The compound is currently going under the name of PL-6983. Where exactly it is in FDA tests, I'm not sure but it shows just as much promise as it's predecessor, Bremelanotide, but without the side effect of raising blood pressure. The reports are very promising.
