The Hitachi Magic Wand was always at the top of my list of toys to get. What kept me from getting one thus far was that I would have to import it (since it's banned across the EU) and then use a 2 ton metal brick power converter on it to meet 110 volt specs.

No more! The two new models of it finally meet the industrial safety regulations. I can finally get one with 220 Volt compatibility.

I just ordered this beauty. I hope it's at least half as good as I've always heard.

I've already got a couple of ideas how to use this new toy, pretty much all of them centered around the idea of forced orgasms, some of them dealing with association ... or whatever you call it. (Meaning having something not so pleasant, like having her take off clothespins herself, associated with something pleasant, in this case the wand.)

One idea that popped into my head. Since I've never played with this new girl before I'm going to reiterate her limits and my limits the next time we meet ( the weekend after this), likes, dislikes, just to be clear. Since I'm forgetful I'm going to make notes. Whenever I think her answer to any of my questions was vague or unspecific I'm going to make a special note for that, and have her answer these questions again as the wand is hanging in a sort of suspension from her hips with the head resting against her pussy as she's standing. I wonder what will fail first. Her sense of shame that I've noticed before - or her knees.

But please, I would love to hear some suggestions. Any experiences or ideas you've had with this kind of toy before would be greatly appreciated by me :)

I had one of those. One day my ex decided to grab me by the throat and shove me against the wall, I hit him with it.
Broke the wand and his nose.

I really do hope that situation turned out alright for you in the end. It sounds terrible, being put into a position like that, but let me say... nicely done! So not only is it a sex toy, but you can use it for self defense. Covering two bases at one is always a good thing, right? ;)

A great toy! Once you go to a vibe connected to the grid, you won't want to go back to batteries! LOL. Have fun, and remember you have as much power as the plant does now! ;-)

They come in black now? Wow. Anyway, I love mine, but sometimes it's the only way I can get off. Not all the time, but sometimes. So be careful with that.

I looooove hitatchi and Seb just bought one so now I can use it all the time mmmm. It's the perfect tool for forced orgasms and because if that, its the first (and only) inanimate object that I've fetishized. I seriously only have to look at it, and I get turned on. Its amazing.

@00Syd, when i hear it go on i get all excited. my mom had one of those back massagers she uses for her back problems, i hear THAT go on and get excited. one time my love turned on the blender and i got all wet. craziness. i love that thing!

Yeah, something like that is what I had in mind, only with rope. It's nice to see that in principle my idea is not doomed to fail.

I've had a magic wand held onto me with rope while I was in a hogtie. It was really hot.

Is it true what they say, that it only comes with two strength settings: "You've got to be kidding me" and "Help, he's out of his mind!"? ;)

The higher setting does nothing for me. It's got to be on the lower one. Beats me!

The higher setting can get almost painful after a while but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Go to the hardware store where they sell wood-working routers. Tell the clerk that your router "kicks" when you start it, and you want a variable speed control to connect up to your router. Take it home and plug in your Magic Wand instead.

(The link is to show you what one could look like; that particular one is not suitable for 220 volts.)

I saw a speed controller on Amazon advertised with the Hitachi if you search for it.

You can just get a light dimmer. Works just the same.

Electronically speaking, not true. Using a dimmer will wear out the motor faster.

Dimmers reduce voltage, which isn't good for motors. The speed control has electronics inside that reshape the electric waves to keep the correct voltage but deliver less energy.

Well, my bf, who is an electrician, said that a light dimmer would work fine. Will show him this when he gets back from work and see what he thinks.

They're the same. Light dimmers do not reduce voltage, but instead employ a triac to turn on a short time after every zero crossing of the line voltage. This is a crude form of pulse width modulation, delivering less power to the motor.

Even the old style light dimmers operating as a voltage divider won't harm it. In fact, lower voltage will never harm motors.

Just FYI.

I found out exactly why the Hitachi Magic Wand was banned. It failed to make it through the certification process because of lead being used in the components and the lead based solder. I don't think just proximity is dangerous when it comes to lead, so... all you folks out that with a Magic Wand, don't digest it and I think you ought to be fine... right?

I suppose I'm behind the times; I always think about light dimmers as rheostats, i.e. simple variable resistors. A quick check of the hardware store shows that most dimmers for sale are now electronic, so you'd probably get something similar, but not the same as, the speed controller. (A good speed controller does more sophisticated wave-shaping).

Low voltage, i.e. brown-out does affect motors. In the great New York brown-out of 25 (30?) years ago, the power company tried to keep all areas in service by reducing the voltage to all.

This led to the company buying an incredible number of motors, particularly refrigerator and freezer motors, because they failed due to continued use under low voltage conditions. After that, the power companies instituted "rolling black-outs".

Here's a link to a trade journal article about motor failure due to voltage problems.

Right.

Europe has been quite aggressive about recycling problems. It's the disposal of the lead, etc. that caused the ban.

The ban itself was highly generic, calling out anything manufactured with certain techniques or materials, no matter how well the product was otherwise suited.

Good thing I always slap a condom on it when I insert it. (A female condom, they fit the bulb perfectly.)
