to a time and place? What place?

There are several songs like that for me. To start,

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb

The place, a car - making out madly with a certain girlfriend!

Kid Rock's song about northern michigan reminds me of summers past....beaches, parties, bonfires, drinking and drugs....good times.

Open Arms by Journey

My first time in my bf's bedroom

The Cars - You're Just What I Needed

a party in a large house, song was just released

Sultans of Swing

Chartered sail trip around the bahamas during spring break

Raise a Little Hell by Trooper takes me back to Friday afternoon Happy Hours in college. Its amazing how much beer we could consume and still make it back in time to just make cutoff at dining hall

(Don't Fear) The Reaper - Blue Oyster Colt

first time I visited a college, cranking from a window in a fraternity house. Good times!

So funny you should post this thread now -- I was just talking to someone last night about this very thing.

Mine is Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd. First HS school dance, first time getting drunk -- Boone's Farm Pink Catawba. Screw off top. LOL

(That should tell you how long ago I was in HS!)

Freebird is CLASSIC song. Cool to have that one as a memory. ;)

Thriller by Michael Jackson alwas takes me back to my young, pre teen school
years when everyone still loved MJ and kids would wear jackets like those seen in Thriller and Beat It!!:D

I Only Want to Be With You - Hootie and the Blowfish!

Summer job (mid career) at a restaurant. Lots of fun!

Nothing compares to you..........Sinead O'connor.......after an amazing day.... and an evening spent having a wonderful dinner with a friend who has now moved away.

Any disco songs and artists...like Gloria Gaynor,Ohio Players,Vicki Sue Robinson, etc remind me of my DJ days in the disco in Davenport and Peoria

Amber, by 311.

Takes me back to happier times when my man and I were young and in love. Rent was low, we didn't have kids yet, our crap jobs were simple and low stress. All we did was go to school, play video games and fuck. Things are a little different now, but that's just part of growing up.

where do I start with this thread !!!!! so many songs, so many memories

best start with
Hello - Lionel Richie ..... first g/f of more than one date

then
Heaven - Bryan Adams ....... first long term serious g/f who turned out to be a total headcase who is still causing me aggro 20 years later

Before I begin, I'm a teenager of the 80's, so most of my memories are connected with crap pop music :D

True ~ Spandau Ballet.
My first ever disco at school, aged 11. I slow-danced with a teacher I was crushing on at the time. Sad, I know

I Wanna Dance With Somebody ~ Whitney Houston
The summer I turned 16. O-Levels over, spent 4 weeks on the isle of Alderney without the parents and got up to all sorts of mischief. This song was on the radio, at the club, everywhere. :nana:

The doors - Peace Frog. When I was on my second tour to Iraq the pilot we always flew with would play that super loud when he would drop us off...I swear when I hear it I can feel the sand stinging my skin and that knot in the pit of my stomach.....but the song makes me laugh now. That dude was nutty....

Stairway to Heaven...so many dances with my first gf and the theme to the prom we went to together

"Method of Modern Love" by Hall & Oates, circa 1984.

I was in junior high, had just moved to a new house with my mom, and gosh ... things were so much simpler then. Back then, three-way calling was a big deal, LOL!
