Last Thursday I managed to severely dislocate my right knee. I'm facing a summer of pain, canes and doctor stuff. I'm doing fine, considering, but a few good thoughts and wishes from friends would be greatly appreciated.

A  from the good little witch.

Awwww...(((HUGS))) and :kiss::kiss: pretty witch. Did you trip over a sack of Flying Monkey Chow or did the battery conk out in the Sparkly Bubble?

Feel better soon, sweetie. :rose:

You can do a lot without surgery if you want *Hugs*

Nothing that interesting, Tom. A variation on that classic bathtub accident. Looking over and seeing the coroner standing there was a unique touch, though.

The coroner was in your bathroom? You have to lock the door when you're in there.

I'm still not sure why he was there. Perhaps he monitors the ambulance calls and was hoping to see me nekkid.

He did escort the ambulance to the hospital. (In a blue pickup truck, not the coroner's van.)

I know it hurts but they can fix anything these days ;)
That's the easy part, it's the physical terrorists you have to watch out for!
After 4 operations on my knees (2 each) and 2 on my neck, I am far more knowledgable than anyone really wants to be!

A bit jealous... hot male nurses moving their hands caressingly up your thighs...:D

Seriously though, OUCH

:rose::rose: Here's to lots of R&R and speedy healing. (Get some of the good drugs, too!)

Bummer

Dear Glynndah,

Oh, how I know your pain.

Hopefully you have someone to wait on you. Keep you company and run those odd errands. He's hoping your friends not only pamper you, but get you off your duff and make certain you do your therapy.

Warmest wishes,

R'jib

Prolly did, the old perv. ;) You'd think he'd see enough of peoples nudidity...but they're all at room temperature.

Thank you for all the good thoughts. No cute male nurses, although the ambulance driver did say "No way!" when I told him how old I was. I asked him if that was a good "no way" or a bad one. He said it was definitely a good one. He would have guessed I was much younger. So utter agony seems to be a good look for me.

The physical therapy hasn't been too bad yet. Of course they're just trying to get the swelling down and build up the muscles and the ligaments before they actually start working with the joint itself.

Good drugs? A couple of shots of morphine in the ER, but then they straightened my knee and shoved the kneecap back in place so I didn't get the full "enjoyment" of it. Vicodin to help me sleep, but that's it now.

A  from a bad, bad boy!

And a word to the wise...as we get older those Karma Sutra position are more difficult to get into and the pretzel bendy ones should be avoided.

Hope you heal quickly and can get back into the saddle so to speak. ;)

:rose::heart:

Good thoughts and healing :rose: vibes, but I'm curious. Can't you just wave your magic wand and make it all better?

Big deal! I've been hoping to see you nekkid longer than he has! :(

Anyways, Hope you get over the Kneezles soonest!

I know how you feel, trust me. Take it easy, give it time to heal. And if the Vicodin doesn't help you sleep, pop a couple of Advil PM. Always does the trick for me. ;)
