Story Idea Consulting Required

I have never written an erotic story before, or even seriously considered it. However, in my sleep deprived daze (in which I tend to be more creative) I somehow stumbled upon the idea of a comedy/nerdy/erotic story idea. Mostly geared towards the comedy aspect. My question is this, will people actualy be interested in an erotic story that dosn't really qualify as "jack off material"? The concept is based on a mmorpg (massively multiplayer online role-playing game). Sure it sounds cheesy, but I have brainstormed a few scenes that, in my mind, are fuckin hilarious. Anyone who has played such a game could surely see the possibilities. So, any advice would be much appreciated. Feel free to PM me or reply here. THANKS!

We do have a comedy category on Lit and writers such as MarshAlien have gathered a devoted following from their contributions to such. I am very jealous of anyone who can write comedy - it's a skill I don't really possess. Go for it and see what happens!

The idea of a comedic sex story is certainly not a bad one, as noted, there is a humor category here.

However, I will caution that your story *may* lack broad appeal. WoW is the biggest, best known MMORPG around, and it's still fairly niche in terms of mainstream appeal. It's tough to write a story with a specific setting without either 1) making it so specific to details of that world that only those who appreciate your sense of humor and enjoy the game in question will enjoy it or 2) Will be broad enough in scope that the specific setting may be unnecessary.

I'll close with an encouraging note: If you would enjoy writing it, write it! Even if you never share it with the world, as long as you and perhaps a few friends get a kick out of it, it's not a wasted effort.
