There will be war.

Ishmael is gonna make the first move. :p

Hey Ishy when are ya gonna do a fun thread? Your like always with the depressing stuff. :(

I do them all the time under all my other alts. Check with sean for a list, he's my official 'alt' secretary.

I'm leaning towards a "progressive" war, the more I think about it...

I'm liking the dark horse in Mexico with "Humanitarian Relief..."

WOK, read what I said about the fighter you least expect a challenge from... ;) ;)

Thats what we get for not making peace with Cuba a long, long time ago. Fucking idiots...

Apparently we might get one more chance to blow it off the map.

Why would we do that? Can anyone remember why we are at war with Cuba?? Seriously, our leadership is insane, all of them. It's Cuba! Im glad we gave that little boy back, that made sense....

Yes.

They volunteered to be a land-based Soviet Satellite and accepted the gift of nuclear weapons...

Fidel's still there and Russia still looks to us as the enemy that unites.

First of all we aren't at war with Cuba, we have a trade embargo in place.

Yes, I remember why the embargo is in place. Castro nationalized all assets after coming to power without paying for any of them. The deal with cuba is pretty straight forward, like a kid that was caught stealing from the neighborhood store, when Castro pays for the shit he stole, he'll be allowed back in the store again. Letting the Soviets put nukes in his house didn't help either.

Castro tried to get around the whole thing by 'fencing' the stolen property but was short circuited there by the Helms-Burton ammendment.

So yes, I remember why we have an embargo against Cuba. And I'm in total agreement with keeping the embargo in place.

The world isn't going to end silly girl. I don't think the world cares one way or the other.

No, it's not going to be a fringe group bro. If history has taught us anything it's taught us that in times of economic collapse it is the more powerful, more populous, nations that make the move. That does not rule out the possibility that a smaller nation might be the catalyst. But I don't think it would be the likes of N. Korea. The Chinese want to see fearless leader gone just as badly as anyone else. Actually, they wouldn't mind at all if S. Korea took over the whole peninsula.

I'm thinking that Pakistan-India has all sorts of possibilities.

Ishmael

As usual, you're a day late and a dollar short with your opinions.

And you don't know how to look into a situation objectively and with any sort of critical eye.

If Pakistan and India go head to head, one of the causes of it will be the missile strikes into Pakistan that our own government has been the cause of.

Cashmere is a problem that could have easily been resolved with the help of the international community, but there's too much profit in keeping the two countries at odds... so we let it simmer...

I'm sure it will work out just fine.

You know, no post-Castro government, whatever form it takes, is going to have the slightest interest in restoring any of that property. No Miami Cubans are never going to get granddad's sugar plantation back.

So what's the point of maintaining the embargo? It does no good to Cubans, no good to Americans, and will never destabilize the Castro regime. And citing Castro's expropriations after the Revolution is a piss-poor reason.

I finally agree with you on something.
