He said pretty plainly during the campaign that we needed to move more focus to Afghanistan.

But really, if the new strategy works it's a win for Obama. If it doesn't it's a loss for the Repubs because Bush lost sight of the Bin Laden ball in the first place and Obama is just trying to clean up.

Obama is the peacemaker who brings hugs & kisses to the world. He will change how the world feels about America. I get goose-pimply when I think about it. I feel like STELLA at the abortion clinic...all tingly and giddy.

I think its fair to say the Viet Cong were used up & spent by the end of TET 1968. At their best they were Gomers flinging dog turds. We called them CHARLIE.

The North Vietnamese were a whole nuther story. We called them MISTER CHARLES.

But there was no way the Cong or the North Vietnamese could have prevailed over US arms in country.

Well, of course there was sleaze. He was, after all, a career politician. All of them have to be sleazy if they are to have any success. I include Obama, although it hasn't come to light yet. Possibly his career has been too short to be all that sleazy. I hope so.
