Have an ice storm warning for tonight. Yesterday, the forecast said 1/4 of an inch. Today, they are saying 1/2. With an additional 1/2 inch forecasted for tomorrow. Then light snow accumulation on top of that. Geez.

I foresee my children missing part of their spring break. They are already 1 day over the allotted snow days.

For God's sake, don't slip on the ice. 'Snow days' - what am they? When we have ice here, everyone celebrates/

They do snow days around here if there's anything at all on the road. One inch of snow or a quarter inch of ice will shut everything down because it's such a rare thing.

I can't relate Crim (well, last month I could and I could send a pic of Lauren in the Canadian blizzard we faced - lol) but now it's warming and rainy and gorgeous. Spring is upon us (in southern Europe, at least).

We're supposed to get six inches of snow and then ice on top of that. At this rate, my kid's going to be in school until the middle of June. We've had more ice this school year and school called off for freezing temperatures than I can ever remember. Yet, oddly, this is the first big snow of the winter.

They're forecasting 6 - 12 inches for us in the next day or two.

I wouldn't mind snow. I can live with snow (well, a couple of inches maybe). But ice? Way more dangerous. I just keep thinking about my husband having to drive such a great distance in the middle of it. Me no likey.

I don't think we've had any real snow this year. It's all been ice.

That's weird...it's supposed to get up to 67 degrees tomorrow, and we're not all that far south of you.

Bleh. Yeah, Hubby has to get out no matter what since he's a foreman. I'm glad we got new tires before winter. Now if I could only convince him to slow down....

cloudy, I guess we're just far enough north to make a difference. This warning affects most of the western side of the state and lasts until Wednesday morning.

:rose: I hate ice. We're expecting snow. This has to be the worst winter in the last eight years here.

There is no safe driving on ice with a regular car. Maybe all wheel drive or chains help? Never tried them myself.

They are predicting 6+ inches for my area tomorrow afternoon/night. I'm not looking forward to the shoveling involved with that...

Chains would, but we don't have any. They did pre-treat the interstate. Not sure how much that will help. Guess we'll find out in the morning.

There's ice everywhere... except the roads. Weird.

School was canceled today. We lost power for awhile but it came back on. Lost internet, so I ran over to my sister's because I needed to do a couple of things online and not sure when our internet will be back on.

Still rainy, so more ice will accumulate on things. Supposed to get a mix of rain, sleet, and snow later today so it will just get messier. I'll be back on when our net comes back.
