It appears that our friend Mansome has fled the northern cold for what he thought would be a more tepid climate in Texas. Although met with the warmth of friendship, our labile climate has proved for a "nippy" experience.
This reporter finds Mansome has arrived on Friday after an especially productive flight as, much to his delight, his seat-mate proves to be a special events planner from a small, mid-west fried chicken chain. Mansome reports the shared professional banter especially stimulating.
This reporter and sweetness6280 meet Mansome at his economy hostel in downtown Dallas, where he is whisked away to a quaint, local pub in Lake Dallas. While enroute he was overheard commenting to sweetness, "OMG, those are more spectacular in person than I ever imagined". And yes, the holiday lights were rather stunning over the Dallas skyline.
Mansome was able to sample a glass of an especially tasty beverage brewed in Shiner, Texas. He was quickly welcomed into the fold of our eclectic group, with one especially friendly young woman displaying her gratitude at his gentlemanly demeanor. After an evening of soft music, an energetic literary discussion, and a delightful floorshow, we grudgingly withdraw and deposit Mansome to the comfort of his lodging.
