U.S. COLLEGE FOOTBALL: it's upon us

Not me. :(

Alabama's coach called a time out right after the snap when Auburn was kicking, so Auburn made the kick, but had to do it over, which was then blocked.

Fucking cheaters.

I hate when stuff like that happens.

Bad calls and referee fuckups shouldn't control a game's outcome.

:(

It's a crappy rule and I hate it, but it is a rule. Saban did what he should have done.

Well, I'd figured Alabama would win today, but it shouldn't just be handed to them.

Uh oh.

ETA: Double uh oh. Maybe you should have a drink and watch the Maryland/BC game. I wish Baylor/TT came on here.

Baylor is still leading Texas Tech, 28-21, with 5 minutes left in the third.

There are some weird games going down today.

Carolina won - good.

Texas Tech came back. I was sort of pulling for Baylor, but the work is in balance I suppose.

The top five teams all won today. This means that AL will play FL for the SEC title next week, and either TX or OK will play Missou for the Big 12 title. If AL wins, they will be in the BCS championship game, no question. If FL wins, there will be a question.

If TX/OK beats MO, the winner will be in the BCS championship game. If FL wins, will they jump over TX or OK, whichever is not Big 12 Champion, who is now rated ahead of them?

No question that if the Gator's win even by a point vs Bama they ride to the championship. Oklahoma and Texas - pick one - that's the rules.

It's a shame there is no playoff system. Look at all the excitement of March Madness...a top 8 list with needing to win three football game playoff would be a lot better than watching a bunch of uninteresting bowl games with no implications but TV revenue.

Is there actually a rule against having two teams from the same conference in the BCS Bowl? Maybe there should be, because it would make for a better final matchup. As for the choice between OK and TX: One will go to the Big 12 Championship and, if they win, they will be a cinch to go to the BCS Bowl. If they lose, the other one will probably go, regardless of the AL - FL result. We should know moe this PM.
