As president-elect, he faces threats, serious or not, from idiots, just like all presidents-elect would. As the highest profiled African-American in the history of the USA, he faces a whole new set of threats from a whole different set of idiots.

I fear for Pres Elect Obama, both from the skinhead crazies and the same people who took out Kennedy.

Several of my friends have mentioned that they fear for his life as well so I expect that a lot of people are worried that he won't finish his first term.

Call me crazy but I just hope I'm wrong and he can change the direction this country is taking.

Ford and Reagan were both targets, but the would-be killers missed, or othewise fouled up. It wasn't the Secret Service that stopped the attempts.

There is one. That long black Lincoln the prez rides around in is about as vulnerable to attack as an M-1 Abrams. It can even drive over the normal sized land mine and its passengers will survive . . . though they might have trouble hearing for a while.
