Long Strange March to the Abyss of Annihilation and Oblivion of Democracy

Ari Berman: With Extreme Gerrymandering, the Republicans Are Rigging
the Next Decade of Elections

November 17, 2021

"...if you look at these state legislative maps that were passed by Republicans
in Georgia, there’s almost no competitive districts for the state Legislature
or for the U.S. House. That’s the same thing they did in North Carolina.
That’s the same thing they did in Texas. So I really want people to understand
they are rigging the next decade of elections."

"Election results are basically going to be predetermined for many races at the state
and federal level in places like Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, because of the maps
that are being passed right now. That’s how serious of a crisis for democracy this is.

Gold outweighs human flesh

GOP has the gold.

They are rewarded by Super-Powered Energy Corporations, The Giants of Wall Street,
The Heirs of Hedge Funds, Mega-Industry, Big Pharma, and showered in Dark Money.
That has purchased corruption, treason, sedition, betrayal, and an insurrection.

"Congratulations, Republican Party. Your corruption is now recognized across the world,
as a danger to U.S. democracy—and to world democracy."

Each of the guiding principles of fascism is now an intrinsic (formerly-Republican)
party belief and strategy.

November 22, 2021

The Republican Party can add a new accomplishment to their expanding list:
For the first time, the United States has been demoted to the status of "backsliding"
democracy by a major global watchdog of such things.

The International IDEA think tank made the change in its newest report, citing
"declines in civil liberties" and other factors.

The United States now joins troubled inching-towards-autocracy nations like Hungary
and Poland—
which, notably, have recently been celebrated by Tucker Carlson and other far-right
pundits as potential models of what this nation should become.

We are still a democracy, but the things that make us a democracy are
themselves under attack.

International IDEA is blunt in pinning the blame where it belongs -
calling Donald Trump's attacks on the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election
"a historic turning point."

The Guardian quotes International IDEA Secretary General Kevin Casas-Zamora
as he notes that "the increasing tendency to contest credible election results, the efforts
to suppress participation (in elections), and the runaway polarisation" are among
the "most concerning developments," and that Trump's attempted nullification
of the election with false claims of fraud was soon "has replicated, in different
ways, in places as diverse as Myanmar, Peru and Israel."

Each of the guiding principles of fascism is now an intrinsic party belief and strategy.

Kyle Rittenhouse's Kareer

In The Cold Light of Day

A swaggering and threatening Kyle was confronted by Joseph Rosenbaum,
who tried to grab the assault rifle.

Kyle shot the unarmed man…..four times.

Joseph was dead and bleeding- out in the middle of the road.

And then, with his AR-15 still aimed at the crowd, he retreated.

He was still an active shooter who just murdered a man, and most of the crowd
themselves hid or retreated.

Yet a few still advanced on Kyle.

Those included Anthony, Hannah and Gaige Grosskreutz, who was a trained medic,
and was there to care for those protestors who were injured by racist thugs, or those
thugs who wore blue uniforms.

We know Kyle tripped on his own feet, and shot Gaige in his arm, then upraised
above his head, obliterating his bicep.

The shooter was now firing indiscriminately, and bullets and shrapnel were scattering
perilously close to crowds of unarmed civilians.

That infuriated Anthony, and he directed Hannah to get out of there and hide, and that
he would be careful but he had to try and stop this madman from hurting or killing
anymore brothers and sisters.

"He pushed me out of the way and ran off. I tried to grab him," said Hannah.

Anthony raised his skateboard and struck the armed man.

And as he went for a second blow, he was shot in the upper chest, and he too also died
in the middle of the road.

QNuts falling out of love with Kyle Rittenhouse

November 27, 2021

I have to confess, I can’t figure Kyle Rittenhouse out.

One minute, his lawyers are repeatedly throwing out a Tucker Carlson film crew.
The next minute, Rittenhouse is sitting down for an interview with Carlson,
and is traveling to Mar-a-Lago to meet Trump.

Whatever the case, it looks like one element of the deplorable world is turning hard
on one of its latest heroes. Apparently the QAnon world is not pleased that Rittenhouse
dared speak ill of one of its top luminaries—his former lawyer, Lin Wood.
It turns out that Rittenhouse and Wood are currently in a legal battle over
the money raised to get Rittenhouse out on bail last year.

Academic freedom coalition steps forward as UF denies critical race theory concentration

December 6, 2021

In Busey’s case, professors in the College of Education aimed to approve a
concentration titled “Critical Study of Race, Ethnicity, and Culture in Education.”
UF’s administration denied the proposal and told the faculty the title had to be
changed to something less offensive to the Florida legislature, according to the
filed grievance. The words “critical” and “race” used together would not
be approved, it read.

Busey’s story involves internal affairs, said Clarence Gravlee, a UF College
of Liberal Arts and Sciences professor.

Gravlee said -

“In the broader realm of higher education, the University of Florida appears

“critical” and “race” together in a course title could be viewed

Discussions about curriculum pertaining to race issues began after two laws,
House Bill 233 and House Bill 57, were proposed by state legislators.
If passed, HB57 would prohibit professors from teaching critical race theory,

Yale Historian Spells Out Why ‘The Worst’ May Be Yet To Come For America

"Our government is still under attack," warned Joanne Freeman in an op-ed
for The Washington Post. "The offensive is quieter now but no less menacing."

- Huffington Post

Jan. 6 crossed a line. We need to say so before it’s too late for democracy.

History shows that Congress can’t afford to let the attack go unrebuked

- Joanne B. Freeman, the Class of 1954 Professor of History and American Studies at Yale

Nearly a year after the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol, with the duly elected president
in place, it’s tempting to conclude that the insurgency failed. It didn’t. At least, not yet.
Our government is still under attack.

More than 700 alleged rioters have been arrested, but their fates have varied;
too many complicating factors prevent clear rulings of right and wrong,
and sentences have been short and few.

If a line is crossed, and the occasion passes unacknowledged, was there really a line?

New metal detectors in the Capitol — one of the few lasting additional protective
measures — have met Republican resistance.

Accountability — the belief that political powerholders are responsible for their actions
and that blatant violations will be addressed — is the lifeblood of democracy.

Without it there can be no trust in government, and without trust,
democratic governments have little power.

In the past, we’ve seen the impact of public exposure of a crossed line,
even when it’s slow to come.

Some members of Congress are leery of an investigation and its implications,
but their silence comes at great cost. Although accountability won’t single-
handedly end our current crisis, its absence virtually guarantees more of
the same. With no clear line in the sand, the attack on democracy will
continue, unchecked and empowered, with the worst yet to come.

Rick Perry sent Mark Meadows text outlining ‘aggressive’ strategy
to invalidate election, report says

Trump's Secretary of Energy, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry -
his phone was used to send what so far has been the most damning text message
sent to former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows in the wake of the 2020
presidential election.

November 4th text message to Mr Meadows which advocated for an “AGRESSIVE [sic]
STRATEGY” of having Republican-controlled state legislatures in Georgia,
North Carolina and Pennsylvania “declare this is BS
(where conflicts and election not called that night)
and just send their own electors to vote and have it
go to the SCOTUS.”

The Independent has not yet been able to verify that Mr Perry is indeed the author
of the message, which was first revealed to the public on Tuesday by Maryland
Representative Jamie Raskin during debate over whether the House of
Representatives would refer Mr Meadows to the Justice Department
for prosecution on criminal contempt of congress charges.

- Independent

The text was first revealed on the House floor by committee member,
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), who did not name Perry, and mistakenly
referred to the author as a House lawmaker.

(Raskin later corrected the Congressional Record.)

The Elevation of Trump to the U.S. presidency was deliberate.

The GOP was faced with the reality of rejection by the majority of the U.S. population.

The GOP's pose as a party of The People, had broken down and fallen apart.

(2021 Putrid rot, resulted from hacking away at the living body of Democracy.)

From now on, there would be a Potemkin facade to hide the truth of what was planned -

To conceal the Republican efforts, and force The People to accept them.

(The telltale sign, was congress critters, that run and hide. No longer Real Rebublicans, )

As it is, all destructive Republican acts weigh down on America and Democracy.

*Look at what Republicans have done, as opposed to what they have said, it is clear.

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow -
Looking upon the deaths inflicted on their own countrymen, by their own countrymen,
shocked and in dismay. How could this be ? Are we all, not One ?

The People of America were deceived. A Potemkin facade in place, to hide the truth.

Paul Alexander stood before Congress, and lied under oath.

(What meaning does an oath have, if replaced by deception and non-disclosure. Secret!)

Dr. Christine Casey, an editor of CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report -
described an email from Trump appointee and former US Health and Human Services
adviser Paul Alexander that she saw as a request to stop a report. She called it
"highly unusual and quite concerning for somebody to ask to put an immediate
stop on MMWR reports. I don't think in my memory that has ever happened.
And, to be accused--because it is accusatory language --
that MMWR( Mortality Weekly Report) content is designed
to harm our commander in chief, the President."

Sweden, the country held up as an example, about Covid, had their own Potemkin facade.
The official opinion, that the majority of Swedish citizens followed and supported,
was founded in worries focused on the Swedish economy. This was a matter of one
country pitting itself against its neighbors. Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland
and Iceland took the safer route, and used masks and vaccination to protect themselves.

Sweden to end vaccine pass exemption for Nordic neighbors

As of Dec. 21, people from Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland no longer will
have an exemption to the certificate requirement and must also show their passes

The Swedish government has not ordered lockdowns or closed businesses
during the pandemic, relying instead on citizens’ sense of civic duty
to control infections.

Authorities have emphasized individual responsibility instead of government mandates.

"For individuals who are “fully vaccinated and healthy, it is OK to celebrate Christmas
with relatives and friends, but be prepared to cancel if you get symptoms,” Hallengren said.

She urged Swedes to “choose a smaller party” for ringing in the New Year.

“There is no other way, we need to establish herd, and it only comes about allowing
the non-high risk groups expose themselves to the virus. PERIOD," then-science
adviser Paul Alexander wrote on July 4 to his boss, Health and Human Services
assistant secretary for public affairs Michael Caputo, and six other senior officials.

2021

People feared Delta variation because it spread faster, and was just as deadly
as the original Covid. Not enough research has been done, before the media
and press made statements about Omicron variation - it-is- not- fucking mild
and harmless!

One true warning, is that Omicron spreads much faster than Delta.

You might never have guessed, who took a gig, grifting from Anti-Vaxx

Son of Vice President Bobby Kennedy, nephew of JFK

The company he keeps -

A photo posted on Instagram July 18 and apparently taken backstage at the Reawaken
America event, shows Kennedy alongside former President Donald Trump’s ally
Roger Stone, anti-vaccine profiteer Charlene Bollinger and former National Security
Adviser Michael Flynn.

December 15, 2021

How a Kennedy built an anti-vaccine juggernaut amid COVID-19

“He’s really the ringleader of the misinformation campaign.”

An investigation by The Associated Press finds that Children’s Health Defense
has raked in money and followers

December 15, 2021

“It is criminal medical malpractice to give a child one of these vaccines.”
- Kennedy Jr.

(His many assertions ignored or went against legal, scientific and public
health consensus.)

Kennedy Jr. hawked his book. All profits, he said, would go to his charity,
Children’s Health Defense.

Filings with charity regulators show revenue more than doubled in 2020, to $6.8 million.

Since the pandemic started, Children’s Health Defense has expanded the reach
of its newsletter, which uses slanted information, cherry-picked facts and conspiracy
theories to spread distrust of the COVID-19 vaccines.

Children’s Health Defense has become one of the most popular “alternative
and natural medicine sites” in the world, reaching a peak of nearly 4.7 million
visits per month.

That’s up from less than 150,000 monthly visits before the pandemic.

(5 million people have died from Covid.)

Kennedy has been a key part of the anti-vaccine movement for years.
COVID-19 launched him to a new level.

“With the pandemic, he’s been turbocharged.”
- Dr. David Gorski, a cancer surgeon at Wayne State University
School of Medicine in Detroit, a critic of the anti-vaccine movement.

“He’s really the ringleader of the misinformation campaign.”
- Dr. Richard Allen Williams, a cardiologist, professor of medicine
at UCLA and founder of the Minority Health Institutes

Even Kennedy’s own family members call his work “dangerous.”

During the pandemic, Kennedy has become a near-ubiquitous source
of false information about COVID-19 and vaccines.

Earlier this year, Kennedy was named one of the “Disinformation Dozen”
by the Center for Countering Digital Hate.

The AP found links to Children’s Health Defense articles all over Facebook.

"... a January Children’s Health Defense article that claimed 329 deaths
following the COVID-19 shot had been reported to VAERS, a federal
vaccine safety surveillance system that has been misused by anti-vaccine
activists."

VAERS stands for Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, a website monitored
by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention (CDC).

The figures on the site reflect the fact that it’s a public reporting tool, not a vaccine death toll.
Children’s Health Defense remains on three platforms - Facebook and Twitter,
and Facebook’s Instagram

Since January, Children’s Health Defense’s COVID-19 vaccine-related posts were
shared more frequently on Twitter than links to vaccine content on mainstream sites.

CHD’s effectiveness is in part because it’s central to a network of anti-vaccine websites
that link to and amplify each other, creating a disinformation echo chamber
that reinforces false narratives that downplay the dangers of COVID-19
while exaggerating the risks of the vaccine.

In addition to its rise on social media, CHD’s website has also seen an explosion in traffic.

In November, Kennedy released his book, “The Real Anthony Fauci,” in which
he accuses the nation’s leading infectious disease doctor of helping orchestrate
“a historic coup d’etat against Western democracy.”

Kennedy also uses the book to push unproven COVID-19 treatments such as ivermectin
and the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine.

Kennedy Jr. has spent months hyping his book - Last month, CHD urged supporters
to buy the book right away so it would make the New York Times bestseller list. ”

Kennedy’s wish was granted. “The Real Anthony Fauci” reached No. 5 on the Times’ list last month and hit No. 1 at Amazon.

According to tax filings, Kennedy was paid $131,250 by Children’s Health Defense
in 2017. In 2018, he was paid $184,375. By 2019, the most recent year available, his compensation had risen to $255,000.

Filings the group made with charity regulators in California show that in 2018, CHD reported $1.1 million in gross revenue.

That grew to nearly $3 million in 2019. By 2020, the most recent year available, revenue had more than doubled to $6.8 million.

In August 2020, CHD launched a Europe branch, and Kennedy attended a huge rally
in Berlin against coronavirus restrictions.

Last month, Kennedy appeared before thousands of people at protests on successive days
in Switzerland and Italy.

Kennedy Jr. claims that the COVID-19 shot kills more people than it saves.

https://www.boston.com/news/politic...ilt-an-anti-vaccine-juggernaut-amid-covid-19/

Why is Kennedy Jr. investing so much energy into persuading as many people,
as possible, not to get vaccinated ? Fuck-ton of money!

First Amendment Fuckery from MAGA

A judge is restraining the New York Times from reporting on Project Veritas.
That sets a dangerous precedent.

The First Amendment does not tolerate the idea that speech can be censored
in advance, even if it might be punished after the fact.

The NY Times is in limbo, and its reporters are uniquely limited in their reporting
because an order such as this exposes them to fines or jail if they misunderstand
its scope and are found to have disobeyed it.

The ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Oregonian, a New York judge
and the true meaning of the First Amendment

Judge Wood's opinion is jaw-dropping in its constitutional illiteracy.

Project Veritas has aggressively inserted itself into the political debate;
its operations are a legitimate topic for news coverage, yet Judge Wood
found that the Times’s reporting on the group’s legal strategy is not a matter
of “public concern.” He also determined that Project Veritas had adequately
shown that the memos were “obtained by irregular means” —
what those of us in the news business generally call reporting.

ome things are not fodder for public consideration and consumption,” Wood wrote.
“A client seeking advice from its counsel simply cannot be a subject of general interest
and of value and concern to the public. It is not the public’s business to be privy
to the legal advice that this plaintiff or any other client receives from its counsel.”

And: “As important as the First Amendment’s protection against prior restraint is,
on the present facts, the erosion of the attorney-client privilege is a far more
imminent concern.”

No, a thousand times no.

The essence of the Supreme Court’s teachings on the dangers of prior restraint
is that it is not up to judges to determine in advance what is newsworthy.
If the NY Times obtained internal memos, it is as entitled to publish them
as it was to publish the classified material in the Pentagon Papers.

Schmeck at least has the defense of not having attended law school.

Let us hope that a higher court will soon educate Wood in the meaning
of the document he is sworn to uphold.

Here we go, again!

Republicans are looking for a new way to waste millions of taxpayers dollars, that gives
them an excuse to use the machinery of the government to actively attack a Democrat,
directly, and waste the time of the victim of their toxicity.

Another game of pretend, from formerly-Republicans and MAGA.
This time, Republicans are looking forward to using their "hate faces"
(last seen on the face of SCOTUS judge "I Like Beer," Brett "Boof" Kavanaugh)
in their latest political theatre production - to show their MAGA voters how much
they hate Joe Biden.

The last time Americans had seen something so ridiculous, was when Trump appointed
otherwise useless incompetents to look for voter fraud. Trump's voting integrity
commission found nothing. (One Republican sell-out voted twice.)
Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity (PEIC or PACEI)
wasted millions of tax payer dollars, added to national debt.

Scalise and Comer listed three points on which they believe Biden has failed
in his COVID-19 response: providing enough at-home coronavirus tests,
abandoning his own national plan and politicizing the vaccine.

(Did Sleaze Scalise and Gutter Surfer Comer expect Americans to forget the prior four years ?)

WTF ?

First wave of the Pandemic had Trump at the helm. What he said to his campaign
donors- This shit is serious, and deadly. Millions of proles will die. Who cares ?
What Trump said to his MAGA voters - Don't worry. It's nothing. Does not exist.

It is not the majority of American Democrats that are Anti-Mask, Anti-Vaxx.

Sensible people do not consume cow paste meant to kill parasites.

Reichstag Fire February 27, 1933

The True Story of the Reichstag Fire and the Nazi Rise to Power

When the German parliamentary building went up in flames, Hitler harnessed
the incident to seize power.

- February 21, 2017

On the night of February 27, around 9:00, pedestrians near the Reichstag heard the sound
of breaking glass. Soon after, flames erupted from the building. It took fire engines hours
to quell the fire, which destroyed the debating chamber and the Reichstag’s gilded cupola
ultimately causing over $1 million in damage. Police arrested an unemployed Dutch
construction worker named Marinus van der Lubbe on the scene.

On March 23, the Reichstag passed the Enabling Act, the partner piece of legislation
to the February 28 Decree for the Protection of People and State. The Enabling Act
assigned all legislative power to Hitler and his ministers, thus securing their ability
to control the political apparatus. When President Hindenburg died in August 1934
Hitler wrote a new law that combined the offices of president and chancellor.

It was sanctioned by a national national plebiscite.

"Turning these pages is like watching an old man dust his Hummel figurines

“Our Journey Together” was supposed to be ready for Christmas."
"But Winning Team’s printer ran into supply problems."

Trump says little about his two impeachments, except for a photo of him holding up
a copy of The Washington Post with the headline “Trump acquitted.”

Deaths of 400,000 Americans from covid during his administration goes unmentioned -
aside from noting that he enjoyed “a quick recovery” after he caught the virus.
The assault on the Capitol that he inspired and his multiple attempts to subvert
the election of Joe Biden are elided altogether.

"The chilling logic of these selections is surely more revealing than Trump realizes."
?Some of the captions are merely recycled campaign talking points."

"What’s most striking, though, is the book’s sterility, its determined lack of intimacy."

Fittingly, “Our Journey Together” is dedicated to “the Deplorables” because, Trump writes, “You got me here!”

documents to America's National Archive.

How many of the imposters used their state's official seal on those forged documents ?

Arizona's fake electors used the state seal. Did it break the law?

Republican Arizona Attorney General does not seem to have interest in looking at the issue.

Why did they pretend to be real electors ?

"An ill-conceived attempt to trick the National Archives into declaring Donald Trump
the winner of both Michigan and Arizona in the 2020 election..."
- Daily Beast

(What I had heard and read from the imposter electors, is that they had the strange,
public, swearing-in ceremony, and taking part in pretending that they were real electors,
in order to insert the forged document into the National Archives, was a form of protest,
that their issue of a stolen election was not taken seriously.)

Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, New Mexico, Nevada, Pennsylvania...
...and Wisconsin (!?!?!? WTF ?)

Wisconsin Republicans fighting about absentee ballot drop boxes, just like any other state
that suffers from Republicans that have sold themselves to Trump.

(Taking part is this fraudulent document enterprise -
Less than a hundred are corrupt enough to sell their government, elected office,
and a hundred Republicans holding local public office, dedicated themselves
to this criminal side-show.)

Sarah Palin took the gig: to attack legitimate media and press

Four years - Trump pretending to have hostility against the legitimate press and media
Yet, Trump expected free publicity, no censorship, no matter how many times he lied.

One of Trump's many pet complaints, is that he could not sue for libel, because the free
press had rights to print opinions, and to tell the truth.

The Palin case in Manhattan federal court is considered a major test of longstanding
libel protections for American media.

Trump did not have control of the press in America, unlike Putin -

to be gun sights. However, Palin herself described the symbol as a "bullseye."

After posting the map on her Facebook page, Palin told her Twitter followers
to go there with the message "Don't Retreat -- Instead RELOAD!"

At the time, Palin was accused of using unnecessarily violent rhetoric.
