I voted for every commie socialist blacks-loving big spending librul terrorist-palling elite I could find on my ballot.

Screw you, Sarah Palin, and the whore you rode in on.

Oh, yeah. :D

Seriously, I'm so giddy I can't sleep now. I just called Daddy and woke him up to have someone to celebrate with.

I didn't vote on the 14th, but eh, I was either going to vote Green or not at all. Not too happy with Hawn as my MP.

I've been a registered Republican for 28 years and I've never voted for a Democratic presidential candidate (Didn't always vote Republican, I voted for Anderson & Perot & Nader but they were independents or other party candidates).

Until Nov. 4th, 2008.

The thought of Sarah Palin being one heart beat from the presidency scared me far worse than the thought of Obama in the White House.

McCain, if you were going to run with a woman, you shoulda picked Condy.

Republican Party... Next time, pick a POPULIST, you effing morons. If you move the party any farther right you could resurrect and run Mussolini.

obama of course not like we had any good ones here its like we had a choice between dumb and dumber here,

Not allowed to vote.

With a black guy making presidency, I think I get to feel offended now. Thanks for the second class citizenship. :(

Aww I think I'm going to bring you a cheesecake :D
And if you can't guess who I am based on how many women have been to your house that make great cheesecake I'm going to be very offended

your skin color does not mean anything when it comes to being elected president. your age does. your place of birth does. but not your skin color.

Would you explain this please? I truly don't understand what you are saying here.

Place of birth, as in not in US borders.

Well considering that you use to have to be a land owner, male, white, and american. In that order I get my rights next. :D

No nations, no borders, one can dream.

The election of an African-American has no bearing on your status as a non-citizen. The election of Barack Obama, the individual, may have an impact on the process by which you could become a citizen - and thereby obtain voting rights.

The fact that you feel personally offended by the election of an African-American is your problem. Get over it, or move back to wherever the fuck you came from.

This is actually the first presidential election, since I turned 18, that I didn't vote in. I was going to but I had a newborn who was not feeling good that day and taking her out to stand in massive lines full of strangers that would gawk (and some would try to touch) just didn't seem like a good idea.

I am a proud elephant, and I was deeply, personally offended by the Palin nod.

What the hell, honestly. She's about as politically savvy as my lawn sprinkler.

You misunderstand

Not offended because of

but offended as a result

Since blacks now have this much opportunity, lets move some attention to other victims of discrimination.

You are a young white male, non-U.S. citizen, living and studying in the U.S. - is that right?

It sounds to me as if you are privileged to visit and benefit from the American college/university system. Why do you consider yourself to be a "victim of discrimination" here?
