I was assuming it should have been: "authors, we'll build you a free web site."

Also in the opening post, s/he should have used "their" instead of "there" (and that little gaff always makes me grit my teeth. What the hell are they teaching people these days?)

I actually read it as "Authors, will build you a free web site." But you may be correct, as "we'll" sounds much better than "will" alone.

You don't want to get me started on the state of the government school system in America...just don't...please.

The students aren't offering to write our copy.

Technically, it's becoming acceptable to use "that" for people. But I agree with you and always change it when I see it. The flip side, personifying objects with "who," is nearly as prevalent and just as grating (to me, at least).

I'd fix webpages for my Lit buddies for free, provided I can link to them on my webpage. It's been on hiatus for ages, because I'm so busy with school, but I'll be getting my bachelor's degree with a webdesign major in January, folks...
